Altitude Spec Model

Talking to a dealer yesterday and they have received the specs for the Altitude model of the Prado to be available shortly. It is spec'd between GXL and VX

From memory:

Leather accented interior trim
Satnav
Sunroof/Moonroof
Front parking sensors
14 speaker system
DVD player
3 wireless headsets for rear three seats.

These are the main items, there were a couple of extra minor upgrades.

Price in addition to the GXL unknown at the moment.....

That will be a nicely spec vehicle.

Will be interesting to know what the price will be. If its under mid $70k I would have ordered one instead of the VX I have on order!

sounds like a good family vehicle, hopefully it comes out in standard white like the gx/gxl.

Color

It will be available in the white that is currently only available on the Kakadu. Graphite was also available.

On the Landcruiser the Altitude pack was around the 7-8k I believe.

The Kakadu White (Crystal Pearl) is also available in the VX. If its $7k - $8k more than the std GXL it will put the price up to around $75k RRP Drive Away, which means you should be able to get it for about $65k Drive Away after haggling. At that price its a great buy with those options!

Sounds like a good family vehicle and will probably hold good resale value, not sure how the pearl paint goes with bush pin striping, plain white polishes out fine.

I doubt it will have KDSS. Having gone from a 150 GXL to a 150 VX with KDSS I wouldn't go back. Even on road the handling is far superior.

This. It is essentially a Kakadu without KDSS, the side/front cameras and radar cruise control.

Yea normally leave them in for 12 months and then polish them out for a new set, bit like the stickers on the windows leave for a bit and then change em out, keeps the missus guessing, and while she's distracted with the change I can get some new bits without her noticing

That's True JPM21. One of the main reasons I went for the VX was for the KDSS, and the leather. I think I will just add the DVD player for the kids later on!
