Uhmmmm,,, nup. SWMBO grabbed me by the scruff to go shopping for (coughs) bathroom (coughs) taps. SWMBO decided she like the taps (not spout, just 1 set of taps) that cost $1,800. I faked a heart attack and we left that store. $1,800, do you know what sensible things I can do with $1,800? That's half a rear carrier, nearly 4 x Copper St Maxxs, a rear or front locker installed. Put me down as a starter for 2012 AJ. Will be down that way in February/March next year on my way through to the Centre etc and home via the Plenty/Donohue Highways and Diamantina National Park etc, etc. Can't wait for the SEQ crew to start throwing some ideas around for some trip planning just to get there. Stewy sounds like he wants to take the really long route. Let's not get a list of attendees running here just yet. We will probably put an online form together for people to register their intentions to attend. That will just be easier.
As El Presidente, Head Honcho, the Big Cheese, The Big Kahuna, the Fat Bastard has said, we have our first meeting this week. Once we get past all of MLC's useless and pointless chatter, and SAPRADOGXL makes good of his red wine, we will probably have 4 or 5 minutes left to discuss the GTG.Diesel Prado with various things...Comment

How about this for the "2012 GTG pre/post GTG" trip. Nindigully Hotel 1st night, Cunnamulla, Eulo (get some date wine for the ice cream), Currawinya National Pk 2nd night, Hungerfor Pub (lunch), Bourke 3rd night, Darling River run Paroo Darling Nat Pk 4th night, Wilcannia (no stopping here) Broken Hill 5th night, then on to official GTG.
There are some interesting side tracks that I know of on this route so be prepared for some changes as we go
. The return route to be decided depending on where the GTG finishes.
