  • I have the Ironman bar in black [ white car]. Looks good and the price is good too.

    • The one thing that puts me off the ARB bar on the update model 150 is they put black insulation tape over the bottom corner of the running lights because the bar covers it.
      On the other hand the TJM clears it nicely

            We finally sold the old 120 and bought a new 150 GXL.
            I chose the AFN bullbar after seeing one on Pradopoint and thought it really suited the front of the car.
            To say I'm pleased with it is an understatement!

            • My reasons for a TJM Bar

              I quite like the look of the ARB bar but I have just had a TJM bar fitted.

              I researched all of the bars available and for me the TJM had many pluses over the ARB

              1. On the update model the TJM bar doesn't cover the bottom of the running lights.
              2. TJM is a shorter bar with far less overhang.
              3. I also fitted a TJM 9500 winch and the control box is hidden behind the bar meaning better airflow through the radiator especially once lights are fitted.
              4. Built in High Lift Jack Points.
              5. TJM is factory drilled for parking sensors.
              6. I got better pricing from TJM as I found that ARB were harder to approach and to me seemed a bit cocky.

              I can't understand why a company the size of ARB thinking it is ok to put black tape over the bottom of the running light instead of redesigning the bar slightly to clear it.


              Both are great bars but give me a TJM bar anyday

                  The TJMs suit the facelift Prado so much better IMHO, I have the T3.

                          hey? i was looking into the rhino 4x4 evolution bar 150 facelift very nice looking bar, its perfect and sits right on the prado. but dont no much about them they are based in melbourne and your looking about $2650 for the bar and i think thats not even including coloured coded to what you want and also fitting it. just want a opinion on what you guys think cheers.Click image for larger version

                                I'm not a huge fan of the looks, but these things are entirely personal preference. Whether it's a good bar or not depends on what you want it to do. If you're looking for a lower bar replacement with an integrated winch cradle, it'll do that for you. If you want it for a winch as well as driving lights and antennas ect, it won't do that for you. And of course, if you want frontal protection with provision to add scrub bars/side rails later on, it's not going to be the right product for you either.
