Interior LED Light Replacement

I actually ended up ordering both as it was only a few extra $$$, so that I can try them both and see which I prefer.

Just replaced all interior globes with LED's (minus glove box). Ordered the 'warm white' variety through an eBay seller "gurbbyking1203". Postage was free from Hong Kong, and only took a week to arrive.

I'm certainly impressed! The 'warm white' LED light output is the same colour as the halogen globe but is just that little bit brighter, and obviously slightly more energy efficient.

Total cost was about $21 (6x T10, 4x BA9S, 4x 31mm Festoon), and that included a couple of extra spares.

Hi D4D - sorry for the delay.

Yes mate, they are the same ones I got. The BA9S LED's are slightly larger than the standard Prado bulbs in the map reading lights, but I got them to fit without any problems.

A bit disappointed of the result as it pales in comparison with the centre dome and cargo LED panels which contained 48 LEDs.

will now try these T10 with 8 LEDs pointing out the end

I put one of these in my centre dome light and it works really well, lot more light than the original and a white colour.

So the centre and the cargo ones are simply lying on the plastic? I'm guessing the double sided tape it comes with was useless?

I'm not too sure what kind of T10s I have but I bought a packet of 10 last year and used 1 for my motorbike so had 9 spares. Put the 4 on the prado and I'm happy with the result. Brighter than the stockies and they match the colour with the other LEDs.

Barry you're welcome to see in in live one of these days? I should still have 4 spares if you aren't happy with your ebay ones.

Yes, it lust lays on the plastic. There is not much "purchase" for the sticky pad in the light fitting. Plus if I do need to change it, it will be much easier.

Looks interesting. Hadn't seen any like that before.

Brett does it fade in and out like the original or just go on without fade?

It fades in and out, the light output is really good, I also changed out the map lights to the led globes as well, plus the door courtesy lights, for just a few bucks the results are quite good.

I too bought the 6 x SMD LED festoon globes, and am not yet happy with the amount of light they put out - it is a whiter light than the stock globes, just a little dull. I have ordered the same as brett004's recommendation, to replace my recent replacement.
