I agree, No. 1 was c**p - hard to get to make contact and two of mine failed. I didn't try No. 2 so can't comment. I like No. 3 as they have an excellent contact area. Haven't tried No. 4.

Can someone please help me out?

I changed the passenger door globes yesterday but I can't get the units located back in the hole. I pried them out from the front, and now the won't stay (they're held in place with sticky tape at the moment).

Looking at previous posts, there seems to be some sort of clip to hold them in pace. Is this the case? If I'm right, the clip must have come off inside the door skin which them has me asking, how do I prise the door skin off?

          thanks in advance.

Have a look at Heath74's post #70 which shows the clips you maybe referring to Gramps. Mine did fly off also. I had a little telescopic magnet that I recovered it with

              Thanks Craig.
That's the photo I was referring to earlier when I notices the clip. Looks like I'll be dropping in to Repco at lunch tomorrow to grab a telescopic magnet.

Has anyone put a couple of the 48 panels in parallel for the domes?
There is a tonne of space in the overhead lamps, so looking at putting a couple of 48 panels in there for extra light, especially in the boot. Not that there is anything wrong with just one, but more light is always better!

A bit disappointed of the result as it pales in comparison with the centre dome and cargo LED panels which contained 48 LEDs.

will now try these T10 with 8 LEDs pointing out the end

                      Still only $26 all up

Yeh I was going to buy bits and pieces as well from ebay, but have had limited success in the past.
I bought the kit off ebay from the led lad - the normal kit is $45 delivered
Very happy with the result, I bought what they call the deluxe kit for $55 - It have two led panels for front and rear cabin.
My mate bought a kit for is BT50 and has an issue with a globe, it was promptly replaced
I know it was prob more expensive than buying bit by bit but at least I know it would all fit and would work. - he also has a website I believe as he is in Australia - just google - theledlad

Probably a dumb question, but I thought it better to ask than break, and have to cop it. What is the easiest way to remove the map light globe covers from the GXL. Given that they are push on/off, you can't leverage them so easy.
One thing for sure is that the difference between having all but the map lights as LED's certainly shows a difference!

Using a small flat screwdriver, lever from the side where the lens is hinging.

From post #20 of this thread

Here's a pic of what I put in my Map Lights... Plenty Bright which bounces off the reflectors as there are LEDs all around. (little fingers or long nose pliers) are required...

For those who are unsure how to get the cover off, use a small blade or the like on the side as per pic and wedge the cover off

You can see in this pic where the lens cover clips in. There's one on each side of the lens cover which it pivots on when turning the map light on.
