    Ironman Suspension for Prado 150 TD GXL

    I have just had the GXL Diesel suspension replaced with the Ironman Performance kit consisting of 4 new coils and Foam Cell Struts and Foam Cell Shocks.

    Here are the measurements before and after;

    Drivers side front - from 750mm to 790mm

    Passenger side front - from 745mm to 785mm

    Drivers side rear - from 780mm to 840mm

    Passenger rear - from 775mm to 835mm

    Below is the vehicle before the installation.

      Here is the close up shots of the wheels.

      All in all it is settling in well, the front is much firmer when cornering and doesn't dip down when braking as it did under the factory suspension. The ride overall just doesn't seem as sloppy as what it felt previously. So far very happy with the product and the service from the guys at Ironman. It was installed at their Brendale shop.

      The Grandtreks will be going next fortnight, have Cooper AT 3's getting installed around the 16th September.

          hmm that looks better, i have had the foamcells in the front of my 120 for bit now and im very happy with them, looks so much better with a lift, dont forget to put a few flex photos in the 120s section. cheers samo
          had an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.

            We'll see I did like the hole filling using the Maxtrax. Or maybe I'll have a set by then!

                  Thanks Matt, I think so, managed to get it done when the wife was overseas on a work junket. It took 2 days to work out that she hadn't shrunk and the step up was a lift.

                    I'm surprised Toyota doesn't have it as an upgrade option when you purchase. Going to Fraser mid Sept, then PP GTG for the Noosa days, will test it then if I can't get another drive in before then. Just had some rain here so there would be some interesting tracks now. Oh and gotta get rid of those Grandtreks!!

                      Looks good mate, I had the Ironman setup on my 120 and it went a treat all through the Kimberley and NT. Still to get it on the new 150.....soon

                            funny you say that brains i put my suspension in just before i went to fraser way back in 07 and its still in now, 100k on the springs and the rear shocks, fronts struts replaced, springs will be getting done in the future again. cheers samo

                              For the dollars it has given me two things, a much better ride and some extra clearance. As I said I'll give it a test over the next drive days or at Fraser or at the GTG.
