thought i should finally post a picture of my new toy.

picked it up 2 weeks ago, and have put 2000k on it so far. it drives quite nicely bar the annoying seat rattle which toyota aren't sure how to fix yet.

took it up to Saunders Gorge in SA over the weekend which was a nice drive, handled the rocky sections really well so can't complain.

had 265/70/17 BFG A/T's fitted immediately after delivery and an ARB deluxe bar and safari snorkel fitted the day after.

have some SandGrabba's too, theyre a great mat, keeping everthing clean. The toyota genuine seat covers i purchased are rubbish, they're being replaced under warranty as the seam has split up the sides.

have a ARB dual battery kit (which i picked up for $170... bargain!) sitting here waiting to go in.

will be fitting a kaymar bar when they have them back in stock, and a suspension lift will go in eventually, don't really need it at the moment so it's not too high on the list.

I've already scratched up the inside of the rear door with a pelican case though, which is a bit sad.

I took the wrong... maybe the right.. track up home to other week, and ploughed through 2 foot of mud, and I was very surprised how well it went, traction control was a slight issue though.

I will also be fitting my radio's and aerials in the coming weeks along with lights etc.

Looks good, i found that the genuine seat covers are crud (with My navara)
Why get a kaymar bar, what benefit will that give? just wondering not criticizing
is the bulbar powder coated or painted black

They're nice seat covers but they're too tight, and they don't fit as well as you'd expect for a genuine product, the rips down the side are a bit rubbish too.

Kaymar bar is so that I have a towbar, it also allows me to carry twin spares, and a bit of protection too, my tyres also don't fit on the rear door, they're too big.

Bullbar is powdercoated.. (has a nice big scratch thanks to Toyota)

Keep the photos coming Wooley. Like the black on white look of the ARB bar. We have been tossing up between the going the white or black bar but I must admit that your rig is looking great so far. If you get a chance to wack up a few more photos of the bar it would be appreciated and the wife is still not sure what she wants (there for I have no say in the matter).

I'll get some photos this week, might give her a clean first, took her up the farm yesterday and she's a bit filthy.

One thing I have noticed is the difference in fuel consumption between BP diesel, and BP ultimate diesel.
When I was across NSW last week I had to use regular diesel and noticed the fuel consumption increased by about 2L/100km, but thought it may be because I was towing a trailer.
However on one trip up the farm with the regular diesel and one trip up the farm on ultimate diesel I can say, fuel economy is about 20% better with ultimate diesel... I feel sorry for those guys living in the eastern states...

Wooley, great to see you are getting mud on the new car straight away. Have just read up about the BP Ultimate Diesel and will give it a go when the new car arrives. is there a price differnce between regular diesel and ultimate??

I even had to ford a flooded road the second weekend, went down a horrifically muddy track (that i wouldn't have made it back along) only to find that the gravel road at the other end had been washed away... lucky i had a snorkel.

Yeah definitely give it a go, I've noticed a huge difference between them, even in agricultural equipment.
The price difference in SA is about 5c/L however in NSW their diesel was the same price as our ultimate, so not sure what you'll find in QLD, it can't be too much more expensive though.
The benefits definitely outweigh the costs down here.

I have been told that the new car will not be seeing any dirt for a while, which I can understand as she is paying for it so have to obey

Will have a look next time I am out driving and see the prices.. seem to be normally 1.46L atm... will see what ulitmate is...

Why was the traction control an issue mate? You mentioned it in the first post.

Hey Wooley, we are really struggling to pick between the black or white ARB bar. Any chance of a couple more pics of your car?
