I had a Berklee high flow, straight-through style muffler fitted yesterday. Just driving it around town it feels a lot smoother on take off now, not such a noticeable turbo lag.
Heading down to Lismore this Sunday to pick up a new caravan (16'6" Nova Terra Sportz Pop-Top) and then head off for a couple of months touring western Queensland. I will see how much difference it makes for towing the new van compared to when towing the old van (2006 13'6" Jayco Destiny Outback).

Towing the new van will certainly be a good test.

Got back from the caravan holiday a couple of weeks ago. Covered 5700klms in total of which 3900klms were towing the van.
The van, fully loaded, weighs approx 2500kgs and the SX handled it well. With the new Berklee high flow, straight-through style muffler fitted,
the turbo comes in sooner and the off the mark performance is very good. Fuel consumption for the whole trip averaged 15.3 ltrs per 100 klms.
I am very happy with the overall performance of my shorty when towing the new van.

Just had both the original main and auxillary batteries in my Shorty SX replaced last week, both were over 5 ½ years old. While it was at the auto electrician, I had them install a dual battery voltmeter from Solidkit and a spotlight switch from Newpro-tech.
When he installed the voltmeter, he also installed a push button switch (his idea) beside it so that I can turn it on/off whenever I want to check the batteries. Looks and works great.
