If you buy a 120 Prado rim in steel or alloy that is 17"x7.5", then they will be the same offset of ET30. There are narrower 6" steelies which have a different offset.

I'm looking for a spare rim for a trip early next year. Which rim is heavier, the Speedy Grande or the toyota steel wheel?

I'll be carrying the wheel on my roof so I'm after the lightest solution.

Does anyone have a photo of the steel 17x7.5 installed on their vehicle? I want to see what type of wheel nut it used ie open end type or closed end type and if the centre cap fits.

The nuts for the steel wheels are the closed type and they are tapered. So are the newer Speedy Grande rim.
The Speedy Grande rim first came out with flanged nuts, same as the 120 alloys.

The centre cap from a 120 alloy will not fit on a steel rim.

You can get genuine wheel nuts that are flanged and tapered so can be used for both. I have the Toyota option Phoenix alloys on my 120 and the wheelnuts that came with those suit both alloy and steel and are the same size as standard across the flats. No idea how many children Toyota charge for them as a separate item though.

I am interested in the Speedy Grande wheels as well, however unsure of which ones to get.

I have a 2008 Dune (Gold) coloured Prado and I am looking at either: Grande RS (Liquid Black), or the Grande (Machined / Gloss Black)

Does anyone have photos of the Speedy Grande Wheels fitted?

I have Speedo Grande wheel as my second spare wheel for outback touring, it looks the same as the OEM and just need to carry the different wheel nuts and centre cap (not difficult)
