Welcome. This thread has been created as a matter of necessity and is preliminary to the first Annual Meeting (Junket) to be held at the 2011 GTG.

As a temporary measure, a caretaker committee has been formed to do absolutely nothing. Members are thanked for their votes that lead to this democratically elected committee. The elected members have been sworn in to do bugger all and to do it to the best of their ability. In the meantime please feel free to add to this thread.

The caretaker committee comprises:
Richoson: Party Leader, El President, Head Honcho, the big cheese, The Big kahuna, The Prince of God's Own Country, the fat bastard over there,
AJ120: Deputy Party Leader, Secretary, Treasurer, The Right Hand Man, The fall guy.
MLC: Founder (Like Karl Marx, even more so now that Karl is dead), The ideas man, The guy that's full of shit.
Patron: The Pradopoint Fairy
Kav: Minister For Foreign Affairs.Cannot possess a passport, usually found inspecting all golf courses, outback hotels and fish habitats. Not known for assimilating.

1. Fun, light hearted.
2. No nastiness (except to non 4WDrivers, they deserve what they get)

Policies:
Policy 1: All non 4wd vehicles will pay a nuisence tax for being on the road. The closer the vehicle is to the tar, the higher the tax. We will call it the Too close to carbon and Tar tax.

Policy 2: An annual levy will apply against all vehicles deemed unsafe for not having a bull bar and spotties. We will call it the Your a danger to yourself levy. A levy is a tax, we will not get caught up in semantics. A "pricing" on anything is a tax.

Policy 3: Environment. Bitumen causes cancer and scars the natural environment, it is banned.

Policy 4: Environment: Beer is 100% natural and will be exempt from All taxes. Girlie drinks include artificial substances and will include all previous taxes applicable to beer, except when consumed by females on 4wd trips. The exemption shall be known as the back to nature-the camper may be rocking exemption.

Policy 5: There will be no such thing as a "locked gate".

Policy 6: Salads cause salmonella when placed in any fridge running off 12volts and shall NOT be permitted on any 4wd trip longer than 2 hours.

Policy 7: Tofu is an illicit substance . Users will be jailed after attending rehabilitation.

In the interests of harmony within the party I propose the following.

1. All members are equal and shall therefore be entitled to 1 vote, of course Toyota owners are more equal than owners of other brands so they will get 2 votes, owners of Prado's are obviously more equal than other Toyota owners so shall get 3 votes. If a member owns more than 1 Toyota 4WD such as a Prado and a Hilux then I......... eer I mean they will be entitled to 5 votes.

2. In the event of a tied vote on any policy, all voting members shall remove their spare tyres and toss them as far as they can. This will be known as a "toss off" as is the case in all political parties and most businesses, once we have determined who is the "biggest tosser" they will get the final say.

3. People driving BMW X5's, Mercedes ML's or Porsche Cayennes will be subject to a poser tax! We may also need to look at introducing a criminal charge for this "impersonating a 4WD owner"

I think this should be extended to all Crossovers and soft-roaders, Hiluxs with mag wheels and low profile tyres and Prados that are mistreated and used for mum's taxis.

this is because there will be a bounty placed on the owners of said "poser vehicles". once captured they will be required to be retrained as "beer gatherers" to collect beer from other non-members and then deliver this beer to all Prado owners who are members "at the gathering of the 4wding First Party ", and then required to start the official campfire in their own banned "poser vehicles" to boil the billy on said fire....

I think this should be extended to all Crossovers and soft-roaders

Of course you understand that exemptions must exist, given that our founding member and your esteemed deputy leader both have SWMBO that drive soft roaders, Subaru and Rav respectivly. So I propose that owning a soft roader is acceptable if its main use is to transport SWMBO to work and back, in order that she earn enough cash to continue with mods on a real 4WD!

Anyone owning a soft roader and claiming it to be a real 4WD should be subject to the above mentioned poser tax, and may also be prosecuted under the proposed "impersonating a 4WD" laws.

Hah! The Four Wheel Driving First Party!! Now we're talking.

I should like to humbly submit a proposal for consideration by this most upstanding and exalted group.

1) The so called 'Pedestrian Council' be hereby classed as no more than a mangy grouping of ravening lunatics. Immediately, without delay, they are to be tagged as enemies of the righteous 4WD community. Any bleatings of anti-bullbar sentiment from this subhuman abberation of humanity should be immediately laughed at and treated with utter disdain. Similarly, noncoherent babble about too many 4WD's on the road should be riposted swiftly with a double-barreled shotgun.

I humbly submit my findings that members of the Pedestrian Council...

1) Clearly reside on an other planet, and are alien to this world.
2) Have a terminal disorder at the molecular level.
3) Can't help but act like frightened little girls around a mud tyre.
4) Are confused at the difference between a Challenger 2 Battle Tank and a lifted 4WD with bullbar and spotlights.
5) Think that death will result the very nanosecond a 4WD goes anywhere near a shred of blacktop.
6) Mysteriously suffer a limp-wristed syndrome when faced with a turbo-charged diesel engine.
7) When faced with a rampaging Caterpillar D9 Bulldozer, and a guy on his way to work in a lifted Prado, were unable to tell the difference.
8) Begin to cry when presented with images of people enjoying themselves on an offroad trip.
9) Haven't the smallest shred of an idea why you can't take a jaunt up the Gunbarrel Highway in a Huyundai Getz.
10) Fall into fits of utter maddened hysterics when told that 4WD owners are normal people, who actually don't want to kill wildlife, or mow down grandma's and little children on the road.
