Thanks for the feedback on the solar input... mine is 120watts so I never had a chance to check......
On the subject of the Chip-IT... I put one on my 120 a couple of years ago, and it was initially great... but the longer I ran it the more knocking and worse fuel consumption I got... I was looking at new injectors when the mechanic said try it without the chip .. so I unplugged the chip and ran the bypass plug... OK, down a bit on power but car seemed much "happier" (smoother and quieter etc). Eventually I pulled out the harness and put the lot back in its box. Car has been running well all thru last winter's cold...
I think that the D4D just can't handle the extra fuel rail pressure.
I ended up not even replacing the injectors - but am sure that day will come.
So if you want the chip, one with std fuel pressure looks the way to go.
