ID:	657309this is the first time i have managed to get pics to this site , this might take a while. tuesday night i informed the missus , don't be surprised if im not home tommorrow as the old man has gone to his hobby farm at Wauchope to play cows & tractors for the week , i might go up there too . wed morning ,packed the swag , beer , rum , camera , maps , better chuck in some clothes for good measure , don't know how long im going for . instead of the mind numbing Pacific hwy i think ill take some roads less travelled so turned left and off through Stroud and Gloucester . had to get across to Wauchope so time to take some far less travelled dirt tracks .the first four shots are taken on a little backroad called Bakers Creek rd , the fifth one is at the start of the rainforest section at a place called Wilson River Picnic ground in the Willi Willi national park . this place is quite simply Stunning , ive been through the Daintree and this patch of sub tropical rainforest in my opinion eclipses it . its a shame i couldn't explore it further as i was on my own and nobody knew where i was .

ID:	635991 an ominous start to the Barrington ranges , the second and third shot are taken at upper Rollands plains , the other two are creeks in the Kipara state forest . a quick run down the pacific to Nabiac to the national motor cycle museum ,well worth a look if your into bikes ,then across to the ranges.

ID:	635998 spotted an endangered spotted tail quoll, hard to get a good shot of it while driving . it was stumbling down the road like it had been at the booza all arvo . not long after i discovered the booza he'd been at and followed his lead . the Moonan flat hotel looked interesting and after the second schooner it looked even better . so out with the swag and in with the beer. i thoroughly recomend the resturant at this little pub . i arrived at 2.30 and by 9.30 pm i red carded myself and went for a little nap . arose next morning at the crack of 8 oclock . pack up and off we go to take some more less travelled rds . drove past the Linga Longer pub in Gundy at 9.30 am otherwise i might have stopped for a Bundy . this pub definitely needs more investigating . turned off the main rd at Belltrees to take the dirt rd to muswellbrook but the first river i arrived at didn't look inviting so a back track was in order. if your in this area take the backroad just north off Aberdeen and look at the magnificent horse studs in the area .

Congrats on getting your photos uploaded kav. You've now reached level 5 on the nerd scale. You now need to upload a video to Youtube to reach level 6.

"cows and tractors" That's classic! Indonesian abattoirs should take a leaf out of your book and start using Prados to "prepare" the cattle.

                Hi Kav,

A group of us travelled around this area when the SEQ crew headed to the 2010 GTG at Barrington Tops. A large number of times, everyone exclaimed how magnificent this area is, even compared to the likes of Daintree.

I'll be in Port Macquarie once or twice this year and again next year, as the missus prepares for the iron-man. I think while she's doing that, I might just sneak off and explore some more around this fabulous region.

                Cheers,
                LFaR.
