  • Si & Rae's Rig Buildup

Great site guys. We have finally decided to trade the Patrol in and get a Prado. Our old car has allowed us to see many brilliant places throughout WA (Karijini, Cape Leveque , Gibb River Road, Bungle Bungles and many more) but it is time to get something a bit more comfortable and easier to drive for the wife.

We have ordered our new GXL T/D Auto (White) 150 last month and look forward to many a trip away and heaps of fun making it a great tourer. Hopefully the wait won't be too long.

    UPDATE 19th Oct 2011
Well the wait was sooooooooo long (about 23 weeks!)
But we have it now and are rapped.

Welcome to the forum Si & Rae.
I Bet that you can not wait for your new vehicle to arrive!
Well this just gives you time to research the forum for ideas of future Mods.
Is the attached thumbnail showing the space that the Prado will fill?
    Cheers Troy

      Welcome Si & Rae,

      love the pic

      White... what a great colour

Is it coming in stock or have you twisted your dealer's Arm for a few extra goodies? (Guess there wouldn't be too much arm twisting with the current supply situation!)

Got the latest photo of the buildup

A few items stripped off the Patrol, just need something with wheels to mount them too.

oh, and this is the proper parking spot.

That poor winch and those two lights are now homeless! They look like they need a really good home... I can give them one for a little while until your new rig rocks up

The way one could perceive this is in is
Photo 1 - prado was kidnapped....
Photo 2 - they're sending it back in pieces for ransom. The way you've arrange it makes it looks like a pair of eyes and teeth haha

                            +1

I'm 3 weeks into mine and love it... Haven't had the chance to take it off the tarmac yet but I've been know to go over some roundabouts and cutting some corners

                            Safely of course!

                              Let the mods begin...

Car is book in to Tint-A-Car tomorrow to have the windows done.
                              Book into ARB at the end of the month for the following;
                              ~ARB Winch Bar (black)
                              ~Safari Snorkel
~OME Sport shocks and springs (HD front & Medium Rear)
                              ~Battery Tray
~Kaymar Rear extension bracket and HF bracket (couldn't get the wife to go for the Kaymar telescopic work light yet)

Will fit the GME radio, Codan radio, 2nd battery (and cabling), IPF lights etc once ARB have done their bit.
