  • Dashboard Pod / Roof Console - Dept of Interior

    Hi All,

I have done a search on this topic and couldn't find anything - I am looking at getting a Dash Pod and Roof Console, from the Dept of Interior - http://www.consoles.com.au/ or this http://www.consoles.com.au/Toyota_Prado9_dash.htm

Does anyone one have either a Dashboard Pod or Roof Console?

My plan was to use the Dashboard Pod for ARB Type switches (3), LCD Dual Battery Monitor and my AVE TPMS Screen.

And my Roof console would have 3 x GME SPK04 fitted + my Remote Head Scanner.

I ask this as I would like to get ideas for a setup and find out how good they are / What the quality is like.

I would welcome suggestions or photos from other members.

Have a overhead from wher I can't recall managed to fit up two radios one in front the typical Vetex 2200- CB variant and along the right hand size a smaller Motorola GM3689 Midband radio

If your tall like me (read 6' plus) vison out of the internal mirror is limited - made even worse by havign a twin wheel carrier, I doubt there would eb sufficent room for 3 external speakers plus radio/scanner

Installtion is very neat only issue I had was when trying to secure the OEM map reader light into the console, needed some strong black silatic glue sealant to hold it in colour matchup was perfect to point that unless I say its extra people think its OEM fitment

For safety reasons, unless a dash pod is securly mounted (read screwed or bolted down) I wouldn't recommend using a dashpod, first thing in a rollover or head on that goes flying will be the dashpod

Photos : Pm me your email address and I'll send them direct -once I have taken a few

    Cheers
