  • Batto's 2011 Storm Blue GXL 150 Prado

    Hey all,
Picked up my Prado back in March, here's a pic of when I picked it up.

  • #2
I then dropped it off to Opposite Lock Dubbo for a full fit out.
Ironman Deluxe Winch Bar - Colour Coded
OL Side Bars and Rails - Colour Coded
Kaymar Rear Bar - Colour Coded
    Tough Dog 40mm Lift Kit
    Tmax 10,000lb Winch
    XXX HID Lights
Outback Drawers, Fridge Slide and Cargo Barrier.
    Redarc Dual Battery System.

From there I took it to my auto sparky to get my UHF refitted and the phone kit.

I then bought a Powerful4x4 Roof Rack and got a free roll out awning with it.

Here's the pics of how it sits now.

          Top stuff there Batto!

Is it just me, or does the Ironman bar look deceptively like an ARB one?

Nice truck mate, mine is silver, but I really like the blue, looks good accessorised. Some big tyres will finish it off I reckon. Put the same Ironman bar on mine, from what I can work out, they are virtually identical to the ARB bar.

                G'day Batto,
I have just posted a thread re the tough dog suspension but seeing as you have it already, how is it performing. I also asked a question about spacers for the rear shocks. Is this the case?
Nice to see a storm blue 150 they seem to in all other states bar Vic!!

I am loving the Tough Dog set up. Opposite Lock did not mention anything about spacers for the rear shocks.
I have now done approximately 15000kms on this set up and am loving it. I went the 300kg rated rear (to take the weight of the drawers and rear bar) and the mediums in the front. Love the set up.

Looks great now I have changed the tyres too.
Have just fitted a set of 265/70x17 BF Goodrich ATs before competing at OL Challenge in Mudgee on the long weekend, have really rounded out a GREAT package.
                  Will post some pics soon.

It looks just like an ARB one and seems fairly solid. Haven't hit any roos yet to test the strength but have winched off it and it seems solid there. Good looking bar though.

Here's some pics of the rig in action at the OL Challenge in Mudgee on the June Long Weekend. My comp car still isn't finished so had a run in the Prado, gave me a lot of confidence in the ability of the Prado.
