I'm sure it's in here somewhere, but I just cant find it again , so sorry if I'm repeating....
With your front end lift is it all the electronic settings you lose? ie all leevels of dampening?

I'm sure I saw a thread somewhere that mentioned you could get a reasonable lift with just knings standard duty springs without losing the electronic dampening?

I just want to do that for now if its possible (due to budget ...).

Can anyone help? I've PM'd Darren but see he hasnt been on here for a few months...

Any help would be good. ARB guy where I live basically said ...nah u can't do anything to em!....great thanks for your help

It is obvious you are not from this fine capital of SA (Radelaide) or would would know I love taking the p*ss and having Peope take it from me. (some try, most fail)

          Hy mate

They disconnect the snsors to the Toyo shocks so you ONLY lose the ride comfort settings. That is the knob that you turn from sports to comfort. Everything else still works.

Not sure re the kings thread ask Craigm or 1coolbanana who both have Grandes and a combined thread on Grande lifts that read like the bible (New Testament).

Try Darren also via hs Autocraft website.

I love ARB but they are redundant/useless on Grande lift issues, even the front due to the shocky sensor issue. Opposite Lock may help.

              • Now that you've seen them being installed Rob, you know how its done!

So, when AMTS lets me know mine are ready you can pick them up, bring them around, and fit them... Take some photos and upload them to my build up? Theres a good chap.

They look great buddy, see you in a little over a week and with any luck, we can get a set onto mine, there is a requirement for rethreading the holes!!!

Have you got an M10 fine tap? Because I've got some screws in that size to fix up the molestations ARB did to MLC's cross member.

                  • Matty.
As I recall your holes (in your car) are a little worn. I discussed this with amts and he has M10's ready. I had my speshal Toyo plates off for 5-6 hours and the holes went to shite! amts being a mechanical engineer laughed when I said they were rusting, but I am prepared to put your proverbials on the line on this one Matty. That soft steel is crap and the brown shite in the holes was NOT mud!

Anyway, you retap the thread to M10 and I will try to copy what amts did to install. Lori needs to buy a special tool beiung a box og Huggies with the 9 extra nappies. There is a pic on my buildup

                    • Booked the rig in to fix a long standing issue being my saggy lift. The lift was amongst my first mods and the Bilsteins were set to the highest pin (not good).

Anyway, Darren from TTT is doing the right thing and fixing the problem so happy. The heavier duty springs, Ride pro type I think? are going in in two weeks.

This Saturday is reserved for an overhaul and service of the camper trailer. May take some picks and add it to the build.

Whoa, when did Warnie come onto PP?

Saggy ey - seems to happen when you get old - apparently. The sagginess is accelerated when you have kids too!

                        • Yep, took me a while to realise what the clanking was. Lifted and all good.

The rig lift on the other hand was good, until I put in the dual battery. Could not simply adjust it on the Bilstein clips as already maxed so... new springs!

                              • Finally made up 2 of 4 LED lights. Cheap to make and should do the trick. They are DAMN BRIGHT!

Here is the design to plug into cig plugs and hang on the tent poles:

The cig plugs are standard but plug into adapters to be used on the camper. Decided not to use Hella/Merit plugs so I can use the lights on the rig as well, especially when I get my awning.

The U clips are used to clip the lights onto the tent poles but also to windup the cord when stowing away.

                                Each light unit contains:
3.5m of dual wire for weatherproofing (use the length to suit your application)
                                1 inline 12v switch
                                1 standard cigarette lighter plug
approx half a strip of the aluminium they use in sliding flyscreen doors (low profile type) from Bunnings.
2 x u clips fixed with pop rivets so they can pivot
Adhesive waterproof lighting strip (any will do but I chose 600SMD as per the link above)
                                Black electrical tape
Tools: rivit gun, soldering iron, wire cutters, saw to cut aluminium.

Pretty easy job and very easy to custom to ones needs.

                                mlc
