How does it handle on the road, and have you noticed any change in fuel economy compared to the old trailer. Well, it wasn't that old, but you know what I mean

Ignoring a brake issue I had, it handles well on the black top and excellent on everything else. I can't comment on the fuel, other than to say AJ and I basically filled up at the same time throughout the Vic High Country trip with very similar fuel levels showing. Made a change to the rear of the exhaust. Had the last section including muffler removed and a customised pipe added. The result was it now exhausts to the side away from the yet to be installed unit to stop stones flicking up and gives much better clearance now it sits up higher.

Following our recent trip to the Simpson desert, I took the car back to Electric Bug to work out why the Uniden UHF wasn't working properly. It seems to work ok on the bench which was disheartening. Anyway rather than go through the grief of having Uniden tell me the unit is fine, I decided to accept an offer from E-bug to replace the unit with an Icom IC-450N. Tested it with just the stubby aerial on and seems to work fine. Will have to go on a decent trip to make sure it works now. Cape is looking like a decent testing trip.
