Anyway, I haven't bothered chasing dealer, or looking up the web site lately, until now.
Unfortunately, a check this morning has our latest delivery date pushed out another two weeks!!
No vin numbers etc as yet so production remains an allegation.
We were warned months ago by others in this thread, that the screen dates are wobbly at best.
This is following that pattern.
Our eight-to-ten week delivery appears to be heading for 21 weeks.
The sobering thought is the loss of life and livelyhoods for the people in the area up there. With that in mind, we have little to complain about. Well, except for the queue jumping........[COLOR="darkgreen"][B][I][/I][/B][/COLOR]150 GXL D4D Auto - Graphite

Hey guys ... it could be worse. A mate has just ordered a VW Polo GTI here in Perth and has been told there is an 18 month wait for them. They are built in Spain which currently has no shortage of labour and hasn't had a tsunami event either. Its a nice car, but would you wait that long ?
Hopefully by the time I order my Prado, the new facelift/engine upgrade rumours will all be finalised. I like the sound of Australia getting the V8 petrol motor fitted into the Lexus GX 460 (same as 150 Prado) from America.. Wouldnt it be nice if we got those here ?

Soooo.... orginal Delievry Date when we order back in May was 25/9, got pushed back to the 27/9 about a month ago, and is due to arrive at the dealer tomorrow with an actual delivery of THIS FRIDAY 30/9. Not to bad really, and I can live with a 5 day slip considering some of the other horror stories getting around. Might just be a product of my Dealer being realistic right from the start, as apose to others that have been telling porky pies just to get people on the hook. So far nothing but praise for Bathurst Toyota (touch wood!).
The guys are going to drive it out to the Mine Site that me and the better half work at to deliver Friday morning (pretty happy with that). Just hope they are not late, coz we are jumping straight in and heading for the Sydney Airport to get on the Big Steel Chicken (plane) home to Perth for a mates wedding on the weekend.
Can..... Almost..... Taste..... It!
P.S. Just got the insurance sorted... will post up on the appropriate thread.VX 150 TD Prado (Blue Storm)... Received...!

G'day fellow wannabe Prado owners,
I ordered my TD GXL on 18 September and was told today that it will be a 'November build'. When I asked what that meant I was told they will start building in November for a '...maybe January or February...' delivery. But the 'Delivery Coordinator' couldn't tell me anything else; no tracking number, no build date, nothing.
It looks like I could be joining Bigben with a 21 week celebration sometime after Christmas.White auto 150 GXL D4D. Matts, plastics, ARB colour coded winch bar, Warn winch, IPF spots, Safari snorkel, dual batteries (redarc system), 2” OME lift, tow bar, Redarc electric brakes, air compressor, drawers with fridge slide, Engel 40 litre, cargo barrier, breathers, maxtrax, roof bars, sheepskin seat covers, TJM side steps/sliders and Toyo Open Country II tyres.Comment

Apparently mine has been built and is on the boat due on the 7th October into Perth.
Based on previous dates given I will wait until the car is ready to get picked up till I believe it.

Well our new prado arrived in the country last weekend which we saw the boat... Has been sitting in the Toyota HQ in brisbane waiting most of the week for its turn to jump on a truck to the dealer. We were hoping to be driving it today but looks like next week... if it is on Tuesday... will be exactly 21 weeks from the day we ordered it... Think there is a bit of a pattern going on here.
p.s. We received the best advice from the dealers stock controller, Our sales manager was not to helpful once they got our deposit..Comment

Well I've been away camping for a week and it looks like a bit more action in here now!!

As for mine, the "blue screen" has an engine number and vin number now - the beast is no longer an allegation - it is a real item
