I sound like a broken record, asking this same question of anyone who's replaced their wheels. Do they protrude from the body now? If so, how much?

    Cheers,

Looks great out in the wild mate.

I want my UHF hidden away as I don't like the look of them in a newer modern Kakadu and there is very limited space to put it anyway with the knee airbag area not able to be used.

                thanks for the feedback.
yeah i'm really happy with the way it goes. I would like to put it through it's paces a bit more, but i'm still waiting on a few bits and pieces.
As far as the UHF goes i put it down near my knees so i could easily remove it when i'm not using it. Which is around 90% of my driving. Then i just chuck it in the console, i can be a bit of a cable clutter nazi.

Tyres are a lot quieter I think. Or I have got more used to them. still got hopelessly stuck in the mud,

Heres the unfinished compressor install. Waiting for parts.

                      Should be good when finished.

                        Nice setup,

Are you going to setup some venting for the compressor or are you thinking it should ok?
Nice and close to the Rear ARB locker setup in the future ;-)

                        Bernie.

well there is a cooling fan already on the compressor. the cupholder doesn't fit back in now so i will leave that out and the back seat switches are probably going to be a bit close so i'm going to have to lift them off a bit or just get rid of them. hardly use the back seats any way.
So that should open up two fairly substantial vents. Hopefully should be okay, we'll soon find out.

yeah i thought about the lockers. there is still heaps of room on the other side of the bracket we made up for the Arb tank and manifold. i'd just have to extend the plugs from the original wiring loom, they only made it half way up the rear door sil.

few more pictures of the compressor install.
finished the cabling today, just waiting for some airline to be delivered. Fired it up and all seems to be working okay.

the homemade bracket in all its hideousness, actually ended up fitting near-on perfect

did away with the 2x40A fuses and replaced with 2x50A breakers

made a bit of a booboo with my measurements but once the cover goes back on i won't notice

also run a 16mm feed to the rear CB's from a main 100A CB up near the battery.

Big shoutout to the useful wire colours thread. Made it so easy to pick up IGN and Dash lights. WOO pradopoint!

                                Dual battery

                                Second battery is in.
i went the ABR tray, with optima yellow 55Ah, redarc SBI12 smart start, and a momentary switch in the cab with a nice little green LED light that comes on with the solenoid. have run a cable to the back but am still waiting on a 12V fused distribution block before i look at hooking it up. and then i guess i will need to get some accessories to run off it.
                                All in good time.
