Good day all,
thought i might start documenting some of my (slow) progress. heres my blank canvas. bar an snorkel go on next week, so i'll put some more up then.
and then i get to start on some other thing. hoorah!

yeah tell me about it. it is a little bit of angle but its still pretty tight. theres about 100mm there that i've got to play with. but i've checked and i can remove the rails from the top, since i don't have any roof racks might be a pretty good option.
anyways the wish list includes.
Lightforce 240 HID
HID conversion for High beam.
ERPS
CHIPIT Chip
2"Lift (undecided on brand yet, requires more research on PP)
BFG AT to suit my 18's (or maybe drop a rim size with same tire)
Towbar
winch of some sort.
UHF radio
Diff locker/s, still deciding on type, Air/Elect/Auto
theres probably a few other things but when the time comes i'll throw em up.
thats should keep me going for a little while. its funny i never knew about half of this stuff untill i joined up to this forum, i'm going to blame PP for not having any money in the bank!

nah not yet, bar and snorkel on the 20/12/10, which just happens to be my wedding anniversary, fortunately i have a very understanding better half.
but id o have to compromise and do some stuff around the house before any of the next mods. who really needs a backyard??? :lol:

I had the same problem with the garage door. If your struggling for an extra 50mm.... the cross bars on the garage door can be removed and replaced with a smaller diameter box section alloy bar.

okay i know technically it's not a mod, but i got home from work today and the mrs had snuck these on as a suprise. i had been joking about it for a while, but i never thought i'd bother.
must say i think it looks heaps better than the blue and white plates. i'll just have to remove them when things start to get hairy

okay just got back from perth where the guys from TJM installed a bar and snorkel, only problem was that the people who colour coded it painted in 207 instead of 202. so it was wrong, so i ended up with what looks like an uncoloured one for now, but i'm told that ASAP they will send down a correctly coloured one and somebody down here can fit it for me.

overall very happy with the service and the workmanship. ordered some Lightforce HID's today aswell, so hopefully get those on pretty soon aswell. i'll get some more pics up then...

okay my ebay 100W HID lightforce lights arrived and got fitted today... i thought that i would go and get a professional to do the work for me as they would have all the tools and would do a nice job, so i was pretty happy when they called after a few hours to tell me they were done, pretty happy when i turned them on an they sparked up. NOT SO HAPPY when i get home and on closer inspection they had literally cable tied the ballasts and all the excess cable in plain view just behind the grill, the fuse and the relay were left just hanging in the breeze :x :evil: :evil: . You could see everything from standing in front of the car. so another few hours later i redid the job myselfremoved the grill and a few plastic bits and got everything hidden away out of site.
as far as the lights go i'm very happy with them, i'll try and get some pics tonight but this is what i've got so far



this is up against the wall in the carport


they lit up the back fence about 15m away in the middle of the afternoon sun. so i can't wait to see them tonight.

btw, somebody should start up a topic where very poor workmanship can be named and shamed so that others can be warned before its too late. unless it maybe unlawful to do so... if thats the case i heard from somebody that Bunbury auto electrics are rubbish..
