          • Not sure it's cheap though. I would say it's either poorly made and could possibly not be air bag compliant.

So who is the manufacturer and what are the problems with it? The reason I asked is because I can't really see what it looks like.

I think that the bull bar is opposite lock steel bar.

Thanks. So probably reasonable quality, but ugly. No worse than the genuine bar though.

                    • Seems that TJM are winning the numbers game with forum members. If you are still undecided, have a carefull look at the TJM infill panels around the headlight. I was not happy with the way they were attached to the vehicle on the one I had a close inspection of. The ARB bar retains the top portion of the bumper including the grill mounts along the bottom of the grill. Important to me as I was not happy with the grill moving around on top of the TJM bar. Hopefully this was a poor fitment by a TJM franchise and not the first sign of a lot of upset Prado owners. On the up side, a bar that sit closer and higher would be an advantage. I have scraped the infill panels that run from the ARB bar back to between the wheels several times.

                      • I saw an ironman bar today and it looked quite good. Anyone got an opinion on whether they are comparable to arb or tjm?

                        • I was told that the fog lights would have to be replaced with the ARB bar - Thats Ok. But after paying a small fortune, it was a bit sad to be handed the originals in a box and to find no replacements in the bar. Only $80 to add them but it would have been nice to have had them included. By the way, had it spray painted white 040 and installed a Warn 9000.

Im now looking at installing spots instead of the fogs if I can find a good way of mounting something.

                          • Does anyone have a photo of a TJM 13 bar colour coded white, i have seen a Sahara TJM white bar, but the deluxe on will not have the black rubber to brake up the white and i am unsure if it will not look to bland. If you could post the photo it would be appreciated.

                              • Smart bars are very safe very practical and make sence but I just find they arent overly attractive (bit like a bag of dropped pies).
