Re: what trans oil to use
well , as far as i understand , the manual indicates to use Toyota ATF-WS either(Jws3324 or NWS9638) without other alternatives .
also here and another forum they mentioned you must use WS .
but if i may ask why you want to change the trans. oil , the manual says inspect at 80000Km and change at 160000
i had to change mine when i recahed 168000km (i bought the Prado second hand) but i couldn't find WS oil here in Egypt so i put Toyota Type IV , and still in the hunt for the WS.
here is the link of how to check trans oil level
on the fj forums there are confused opinions on how to change it , their method is based on removing the oil hose from the readiator , and start the car for 30sec-1minute until they get 2 liters from old oil , then stop the car refil with 2liters new oil and so on until the colour of the outcoming oil is red .and they say it is wothless to change the oil filter
but i personally will remove the oil pan and change the oil filter, and this will lead to change the pan gasket and oil seal and 2 orings as below from
fjcruiser manual
look for auto transmition my model is A750F i think page#168 +/-
hope that helped
pls. update your outcome

Re: what trans oil to use
i can say it is ok for my 2006.i put 80-90 (front & rear diff + transfer case) and i think yours should be the same
better to check the manual if you have one , or another member here should confirm

Re: what trans oil to use
If you don't have an LSD in the rear, you can get away with 80w90 in all 3 diffs as long as they meet the GL-5 spec for the diffs and MT-1 for the transfer case/centre diff. Most oils I've seen have this spec together.2019 GXL, Bullbar, UHF, Redarc Brake Controller, Tow Bar, Secondary Fuel Filter
