Poll: Manual or Auto

Hey all,

Have seen the colour votes, but how many have gone the physical shifter, or the car shifter (Auto)

Curious as I struggled between the two (have gone manual, but I think its cos thats what I like!)

when we eventually upgrade from our LC120 D4D GXL Auto it will be with another Auto. Great for 4x4ing, traffic, steep driveways, reversing trailers, works well with cruise control and the list goes on All that for a little bit more fuel usage.

I went manual because i prefer it.

But sometimes wish i went auto for better fuel economy.

The choice for me was simple. After shelling out 60+k for a new car – an obscene amount I never dreamt that I would spend on a car – there was no way in the world I was going to change gears for it.

Auto for me too... great for towing and offroading, particularly appreciated the auto when winching myself out of some mud, no need to juggle gears & clutch whilst hanging onto the winch controller...

Manual for me. Drove the auto, we didnt really like it that much but could have lived with it.

Now the proud owner of manual GXL 150 for 4 days.

Went for the manual. Always driven a manual and it's just a habit now. Call me old fashioned, plus I really don't have traffic congestion where I'm living now.

I went with auto. modern autos are so good these days unless i had a sunday sports car i wouldnt have a manuel again.

Auto for me.
Always said I'd never drive an Auto but getting lazy and was told I'd get better resale value.
Love the auto...... so easy in the rough and so smoot on the highway, great in traffic too.

Auto, better resale, easier to drive, better off road, quicker gear changes, excellent with cruise control, and they are a semi automatic if you want the option of shifting manually.
