oh by the way if you see someone taking photo's of it in your driveway it will most likely be me, I live just around the corner. I have noticed it sitting there a couple of times while taking the kids to school.

Very interested in the 100mm lift. What does it entail? Surely it would need castor correction etc. And with that in mind what does it cost?

4 inches of lift would make the Prado unstopable.

that's a hot looking shorty (ZR), tell us more about the 100mm lift, they must have lowered the diffs, otherwise you will chew out cvs.

Thanks for the reply's, it does seem we have a Prado club in PK ... good to know.
Maybe I overstated the 100mm lift ... we originally wanted a 50mm lift but after some discussions with ARB we decided on a heavy Kakadu spring set 2888 / 2889 this originally pumped her up 75mm front and 110mm rear which finally settled down to 65 / 95mm. The ride is a little harsh (but great at high speed thru roundabouts) :shock:
We needed extra support for the B/bar and winch up front and 45kg Hobie up top and a 2 tonne offroad camper chasing along behind.
The ride is harder but nothing I'm not used to with the 80 series and it's way better than porposing and rolling around corners.
As for the standard rims and tyres they'll do us for the shopping and beach but we do have the new boots on order and hopefully they'll be here sometime this week (promised last week). I know the standard 18' - 60's don't bagout when deflated but they do make a really long footprint and I'm not sure if it's the SWB base but in the dunes it gives you heaps of confidence and is much more capable than the 80 series with BFG's ever was.
As for the feedback on the upgrade from the 80 series we did initially hear all the neighsayers but the deafening crowd was silenced as she conquered all that was asked of her and without incident (which is more than we can say for a some of 80's and Patrols that made the trip to Brunswick).
