As I'm new its taking me some time but I think I found some information on another thread that may help me. But the switches have something like 6 wires coming out of them. I guess its just trial and error till I work out which ones to connect!!!

......and "Simply pull the a/c control panel off the dash - Easy." .......I'm not seeing this as easy. Where do I pull on the dashboard and how??? Sorry if I'm sounding a bit cautious. New car and I don't want to damage it!!

Cautious is good! It is a bit scary pulling apart something you have paid a lot of money for.
Gently pry away the vertical silver panel (the one with the passenger seatbelt light) directly below the aircon control panel. There is one silver panel on each side of the stereo. Pry from the bottom (not the top) using an icy pole stick or similar as a lever. Once one of those silver panels is off, you can get your fingers underneath the aircon panel and pull it gently but firmly towards you. It is held in place with yellow clips and yes, you can simply pull it off.
      Cheers..........Wayne

A good mod, however, illegal to look at the screen as to what is behind you, while driving in Victoria. (Mexican cops)

With my after market sat. nav. system, I have the camera hooked up to my van, and during driving I can see who is sitting in close behind me. A good idea for van towers.

Can anyone recommend any cameras to fit on the front grille that work with the standard entertainment system?

                  Hi Guys,

Has anyone managed to confirm if this mod can be done on a Kakadu? Is the wiring the same as in first page instructions?

                  cheers

If anyone is looking for a camera in the front grille
151126413365 try this eBay item (paste number into search)
It supposedly fits into the toyota badge.
I just ordered one, we'll see how it goes!

Any news? Does it work on the facelift 150?

Thanks for documenting this, I used it and went a step further adding another NTSC camera to view towbar when hooking up caravan. Very successful and I took time to take coloured photos of all steps if anyone ever needs them for help.

                          Great Mod, ARB,

Just curious if the reversing camera still turns on when reverse is selected or do you have to manual turn the camera on each time you reverse?

I would like to mount a rear camera on my caravan and be able to view it on the screen in my 2014 VX. I've read the rest of this thread and it seems to suggest this is possible, but has anyone got suggestions about the make and model of rear camera I should purchase to ensure it is compatible with the Toyota system - assuming I install a switch as described above.
