I know generally what the suspension will look like. I still want it back too. Your welding skills may be first class but your painting leaves a lot to be desired you trailer thief.

Still a fair way from finished but I don't want Trekky thinking I am copying him, so just a few pics to show I started mine first






It will house 2 x UHF's. the remote head for my HF, still retain the the original lights and sunglasses holder and most important of all a Hat Saver for my Akubra that some of you who have met me may have noticed I don't go anywhere without

And before someone asks, yes I have a template, in fact I made templates and spindle cut all the shapes so I can accurately reproduce more of these.

I have an industrial sewing maching sitting in the shed that I was given, still contemplating whether to have a go at upholstering it myself.

Sorry, as no one expressed any interest and they collected dust for a year or 2 I tossed them out during a recent clean up!

Lots of work for seemingly not much progress this weekend.
I needed some large shaped washers for the radius arm bushes, I couldn’t find where to buy what I wanted, and so I made some, which meant making some tooling to press them into shape.
First I rough cut some 3mm sheet.


Then made them nice and round in the lathe.




Then after making a Dimple Die I pressed them into shape, I hope you can see that in the pictures.





Then I needed 4 bushings for the radius arms and the yet to be built cross arms to mount through, so onto the lathe again.





Then to make the front mount points.





And of course I need 2 of them, 1 left and 1 right handed, which took a fair while to set them up exactly the same but opposite hand.

I sold my 4 tyre, Tyre Dog TPMS a while back and bought a 6 tyre unit, which is what I should I have got the first time around Had it sitting on my desk for ages and finally fitted it up this arvo.
