Noticed yesterday the compressor pulley has rubbed a couple of times on the bonnet lining. Need to change the belt over to a smaller one. That way the compressor will drop down a bit.

Due to the two inch lift I had to extend the mud flaps.

Installed a 600W pure sine wave inverter from Jaycar for about $330. I have ran double insulated 6B&S cable from the Aux battery to the rear of the vehicle and spliced into that with the inverter cable. Soldered using a butane gas torch and insulated it with electrical rubber tape.

I got it in Mount Barker near spot light. From memory it's 5-6mm rubber with similar construction to conveyor belt.

I have looked at all them and the best one I like is $450 (ARB in DWN sell it). I am leaning a lot towards making my own. I will be ordering the UHF in a couple of weeks from Prestige in Perth and once it arrives I will look at some designs.

I have looked at all them and the best one I like is $450 (ARB in DWN sell it). I am leaning a lot towards making my own. I will be ordering the UHF in a couple of weeks from Prestige in Perth and once it arrives I will look at some designs.

I like the slimline one, the major advantage for me is to get the UHF out of the way and it is much better position for my UHF speaker. Currently mine is down in the console, so the speaker at the bottom of the unit points away from memaking it harder to hear. I am trying an external speaker at the moment though and that fixes it somewhat. The only downside of the roof console for me is the reduced visability and more of a closed in feel.

There is no reduction in visibility. As far as mine is concerned anyway, and that fits two UHF's and a HF.

You don't really feel closed in either.

Once you've had a roof console you'll never be able to live without one again. It's the first thing I always do.
