Hi guys
My friend Alan recently installed a TP09X1 in his 95 series
see http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=6592 for the install and http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=6223 for details on the unit.
He did not get a camera at first as he thought he had seen one locally that would suite. However after seeing Micks thread http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6574 we quickly compared the number plate light on his 95 series to my 120. After trying to source the same camera through Digoptions, Alan finally bit the bullet and ordered it off EBay
This camera neatly replaces one number plate light with the camera and an LED light for the number plate.
The camera took a while to get here, but when it arrived we were very impressed with the packaging and the unit. Alan had already run the cables to the back door so he had to remove the cover and feed them through the goose neck
The housing for the lights on the 95 series also has the door handle in it. So this had to be removed
Mounting the Camera involved the removal of a couple of millimetres of the plastic ribs to fit it in (sorry the photo is fuzzy)
Internally the wiring was modified to allow the separate 12V supply for the LED number plate light to plug into the other Number plate light harness.
You can also see a new open grommet on the camera leads. One connector had a grove big enough for the cable of the other filed into it so it could pass through the hole in the door. This meant the door hole did not have to be enlarged.
With the wiring push through the grommet was installed and the cabling connected up and secured
Finally the cabling was neatened up and the dust plastic replaced
I will add the pictures of the finished product when I can get them off the camera. In the mean time I hope someone finds this useful
Cheers Neil
