    Re: Aftermarket Weathershields

Priced a single drivers side weathershield from my local dealer....$79. Jumped on Ebay and got a full set of 4 off 'oznest88' for $80 delivered. As Rhetly has already said they are pretty dark but see-through and the fit isn't exactly spot on, but for the price I am very happy.

Sorry to reopen an ancient thread.

Dunga/ Rhetly, I was wondering if either of you could please upload some photos of the weather shields you purchased from 'oznest88.' I'm interested to see how they didn't fit exactly, and the outcome of them.

      Thanks

Thinking of fitting them, but don't like the idea of screws due to a bad experience with bonnet/headlight protectors. Can you drive with your window down an inch or so and not get any wind in?

D4D - no problems with mine. Fitted at dealership during normal servicing. Haven't had any issues with the screws or fittings. You can drive with the windows down a short way without wind/weather getting in. The shield also reduces wind blast even when window entirely down.

Very hand for leaving window down a few centimetres overnight when camping and want to run leads into the car, or to just let the car breathe when in hot climate without fear of rain getting in.

                        Again another thread bump.

I had some ebay shields on my old 80 and loved them, however from what I have read here I am worried.

There is a range on ebay, and I was wondering if anyone has bought any recently. I would like them to be dark but also see through, not just black plastic like above.

Something like this might work. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Pr...item4607ec3b22

                        Any help appreciated.

I bought this exact set a couple of months back... no dramas from my point of view, and for only $55 i think they are great!
