Personally, I got just over 90,000 on my first set of Cooper ATR's, and now have just over 40,000 on my Cooper ST's on the Prado and they still look new.
I have had 4 sets of Coopers on my last 3 4WD's, over the past 15 years, and now would not buy anything else.

Got 61K out of Grand treks with sporadic rotation. Now have Bridgestone dueller Lt up to 50K with religious rotation every 10K using 5 tyres, id say the have 40-50% tread left.

Hi Fellas. Now done over 65k on my D694's and looks like they will do another 20k - 30k. Still good to drive on and wearing evenly. Usual tyre pressure @ 35 PSI. Cheers.

Drove out of the dealer & fitted 5x Cooper ST around the corner. 6 weeks later did the Simpson & Central Oz.
Now have 65000km of them & looking good for another 20000km+ on most of them. Rotated every service. Check air every week or so (run them 38-40psi on the black top). One is a little scrubbed out after some nasty potholes at speed on a trip away which threw the alignment out.
Better than the 40000km I got on several sets of D694 on my previous vehicle (Jackaroo).

Up to 85,000 on my Toyo AT Open Countrys. Still great in the wet. Had a puncture a few weeks back (in my driveway of all places) but fixed no probs. Great value and still going strong. Can't understand why no-one else seems to use them.

65K from cooper AT. Could probably get a bit more but am driving to Townsville (from Perth) and return in Jan so am changing before I leave. Will keep a couple as spare cases.

                      old thread, old post...

My 694's ended up doing a bit over 100K, about 106K I think in the end. Bolted the old Grandcraps back on and are having great fun... they squeal like an American cop car... my boys love it!

                      • Hey Everyone,

Read the posts some good info here. If anyone else has further info in regards to Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 rib or MTZ that would be greatly appriciated. Looking at replacing the grandcraps in the next few weeks. Mind you i am sure the ATZ 4 rib would be good enough since most of my time is on the back top unfortunatly, although the added piece of mind from the MTZ would be nice when venturing off road. haha Also any one with fuel consumption increase data, i have a KZJ120. Which is the non commonrail 3.0l diesel. Any info would be great :-)

                        • Have done 107,000km on my Mickey Thomson ATZ 4 rib. 5 tyre rotation EVERY 10,000km

Only had one flat in that time when I had a dirty big nail which I picked up the day before I went on a lap of WA. Tyres have been awesome and never let me down.
Did have some issues at one point when i had a lot of mud and sand between the rim and the bead, but that can happen to any tire when you have it at a low low pressure.

Will definitely be looking at the Mickey Thompsons again.

                            • Just to get something fresh going. My Prado came from an island in up north, 7700km in 4 years. Brought it home to western qld and replaced my shagged dunnies at 15500km, wasn't too fussed rubber was hard and just chipped out, blew one on a grid so figured they had to go. Got a good deal on MT MTZ's. 39000km and while I'd love to make 45000km with canvas showing between the tread blocks(whats left of them) probably not. The white gravel we have on the roads out here is terrible on tyres, as soon as you tell the tyre guys out here we live on white gravel, they pretty well say there's nothing you can do. We run around 30 - 32psi to stop punctures, higher if we're on the bitumen for holidays. They wear even. Had 4 alignments so far I think. Had bf mt km2's on last hilux got around 40000km, cooper stt before about 45000km. Mate buys cheap stuff and gets around 30000km, works about the same for $/km. Local council getting maxxis 980's fitted, might give them a go but no LT in 17's as far as i recall. Would love to get more than 50 out here.
                              Dan

                              • Finally changed the Grandtreks at 110,000 KM to Yokohama Geolanders 052, not a bad tire, but noisier and more prone to picking up nails, have been on the car for 90,000 KM and doing OK, will easily last for another 15-20,000 KMs.
