would it be these two
    Hmmm could beeee.

I note on the MaxTrax website that it is only possible to order special colours if the order is for a minimum number purchase. I am guessing that the quantity needed to be ordered would preclude the normal buyer, it would seem to me to be targeted at special event/company image type purchases.

          Hey Prado887,
I would talk to LFaR if I were you re hanging Maxtrax off any tyre. While at the GTG, he discovered that his Maxtrax were wearing through his brand new tyre stacked on top of his roof rack! Hey Matt, any comments?

woah that would not be the happiest thing to discover
I was thinkin bout a piece of rubber or foam between them and the tyre on the rear door and just a bolt through the existing hole on the bracket for the spare so they sit vertically (no roof rack), but hmmm slightly worried about this now......................

                  Re: Maxtrax

Having a fully loaded vehicle, I decided to carry my MaxTrax on my 2nd spare.

After all the corrugations between home and Kings Canyon (which is when I decided to reconfigure my load), this is what I found:

I was hopeful it could be repaired. When I returned home, I took it down to the local store where I bought the tyres. The owner took one look and with a shake of his head, he pronounced it DOA.

This was brand new MT ATZ 4-rib that had never touched the road. Destroyed . An expensive lesson and one I like to pass on before it's too late for others. Spilt milk now.

Jokes aside, that is an expensive lesson. I crawled underneath my car yesterday to grease the tailshafts and noticed that both my OME rear shocks have been trashed by rock hits, to the point that the lower body has been bashed out of round.
Looks like I'm up for 2 new shocks :x

                      Dobbo,
You can get plates that protect the lower section of the shocker. I got mine from ARB for around $40 bucks. WOrth the expense. I found a rock mark on mine and put them on before they were cactus.

                        Re: Maxtrax

If only I had bought the Max Trax on Friday.

Saturday get a call for help from a couple of army lads who had sunk their 100 series out on Lake Yindarlgooda, east of Kalgoorlie. Went out in work V8 troopy. Had all the gear: winch, roo jack, exhaust jack, shovels, compressor, recovery gear. Well, 150 short of the 100 series my troop starts to sink. Bugger, tyres were down to 15psi. Tried every trick in the book but the orange ooze was simply too much for the tyres. Broke the highlift jack first. Brand spanker. No timber around to build up under the wheels. Couldn't find anything to attach the winch too except for a tree stump a long, long way behind me.

Last ditch effort. Try running the winch cable under the car. Attached the line to 3 snatch straps, winch extension strap and 5m drag chain around the tree. Snap. Winch cable breaks leaving only 1 metre on the spool.

Call for back up. Another troop comes out and winches me out of the bog. I then manage to drive over to the cruiser and snatch him free. 12 hours of dirty labour later. Cost me 2 cartons. Going to cost the army a couple too.

Picked up my max trax today from local ARB dealer.

Good story. We took our Maxtrax on our latest trip to Birdsville and beyond. Didn't use them in anger even though we went right off the beaten track in some places, lots of dunes. But, we did feel very confident with them up there on the roof. Good investment.

Been researching these for a while, and they could be what the doctor ordered Most of our outings here are in knee-deep soft sands of the desert and these would save me from a lot of hard work of digging, using the jack, etc. etc. and my vehicle from doing all the hard "snatching" duties.

I found a local supplier who is asking the crazy equivalent of 500 Australian Dollars!!!! Can someone help with shipping a pair over to Dubai? I am figuring about 60-70 AUD for shipping, which will still put me ahead of the crazy prices being asked here. Appreciate any help you can provide.

                            Cheers.

I suspect you'll find the shipping will actually cost a fair bit more that 60-70 AUD as they are quite long.

My wife actually bought me a set recently however we returned them as they are not that useful in Victoria.
