    That looks great

I really like your little stubby aerial - how does it go ? Presumably it compares well to a 6db or so mounted on the bullbar ? Where does the coax go after it leaves the roof - how does it route into the cabin ?

Is that a plasma rope on the winch ? DId you go with that option for the weight saving and if so do you know roughly how much you save by doing that ?

    Sorry...lots of questions...

The website you linked to has an FAQ that states the following:

    5. How much weight will I save by going with synthetic?

By switching from steel cable to a synthetic winchline you will reduce the weight as follows:

    * 5/16" x 100' of Steel Cable weights 18 lbs vs. 2.7 lbs for Synthetic, saving 15.3 lbs.
    * 5/16" x 125' of Steel Cable weights 22.5 lbs vs. 3.375 lbs for Synthetic, saving 19.1 lbs
    * 5/16" x 150' of Steel Cable weights 27 lbs vs. 4 lbs for Synthetic, saving 23 lbs.
    * 3/8" x 100' of Steel Cable weights 26 lbs vs. 3.6 lbs for Synthetic , saving 22.4 lbs.

Additional weight can be saved by switching to Viking Delrin Rollers or a Aluminum Hawse Fairlead.

    6. How much weight will I save by going with a Aluminum Fairlead over a stock Roller Fairlead

By switching from a stock roller fairlead that weigh about 13 lbs vs. the Aluminum Fairlead that weigh in under a pound you will reduce the weight by about 12 lbs.

That's pretty impressive. I know a lot of people are put off the idea of a winch because it's extra weight dangling over the front of the truck (especially if you don't want to HAVE TO upgrade your springs).

I'd be keen to find out how your UHF install continues.

Just trying to work out what sort of rails you used to attach that Rhino Rack mesh platform in the first picture - and does this interfere with your rail mounted antenna? It looks like you've removed the rack in the antenna pictures.

    D4D,
Nice set up! I see you have a Tambo Cooper CT, as do I.

I was wondering what mods you may have done to the camper. I have the tool box on the front of mine and was concidering venting it so I can mount the 40lt Engel inside. Water and dust may be an issue though! I would then get a smaller fridge for the car.

Very nice D4D.... you wont be disappointed.

I didnt tick the electric break box, but after a number of trips up the Dargo High Plains Rd i think need to get them. Coming down the hill into Dargo with a full tank of water and all the camping gear can get a bit scarry at times.
