If any PP'ers have issues with obtaining discounts from any links or stores/ sellers listed here, please make a post on it here so they can be removed.

We don't offer free advertsiing unless there is a discount in repercussion.

One post per supplier is all that is allowed as well and no bumping.

Good points (ground rules) TP, I've always looked for a "one stop discounts and/or good prices" on the forum amongst all the tech and mods we talk about.
PPers having been talking of gadgets, so if any of the members can source good stores which offer discounts etc.. this will help the PP community 8)

    Thanks LostDingo and Mav.

Offroad Down Under produces battery trays, fridge slides and a few other bits. If you mention you're a PP member they'll look after you. Battery trays are already reasonably priced and very well made. Fridge slide also looks the goods.

Diesel battery tray for 120 $130, PP members $120 + freight if req'd.

Well I just had a GREAT experience/purchase through Transceiever Services in SA.
    http://www.transceiverservices.com.au
Bought a UHF CB Radio - GME TX3440+TX680 pack for $414. I'd checked the other sites mentioned and choose to purchase through these guys.
They were Friendly through communications and Very helpful. Answered all qusetions I had asked.
Got a Discount on a 6dB antenna too.
They've got heaps of other brands too.

NOTE: I have no association with Transceiver Services, just believe in good old word of mouth praise.

    Recommendation: Buying Roofracks in Sydney?

Just want to give a plug to the guys at Roof Rack City at Pymble, NSW.

Last November before buying our beloved Prado, we hired a set of roofracks and cage for our Rav 4 for a holiday. The total cost to hire was about $135. They have a deal that if you decide to buy the roofracks afterwards, they'll take the hire cost off the purchase price - so it is a pretty good way to try-before-you-buy ... but with us going back over two months later, and wanting to buy a completely different roofrack/cage set, I didn't like my chances of much success. I was wrong.

We went back to them to see what they could do last week, and we ended up buying the Rhino sport roofracks, the fitting kits, and the large steel mesh basket for $585 which was the RRP price less $122 (~90% of what we paid for the hire last November). Plus, I only had to send the Misses down, and she came back fully installed - which is always a bonus. No comments please <grin>.

Anyway, if you're looking to buy some roof racks and want to try-before--you-buy, these guys might be worth considering... and no, I am not affiliated with them in any way apart from being a happy customer.

    Have to agree.

Unknown to me at the time, they do gas bottle tie downs for the Rhino tracks. These are terrific as it means the spare gas bottles now sit on the roof (not in the back of the Prado), which always is a worry.

Very helpful guys........ also no afiliation....

Re: Member Discounts or Attractive Prices

Shouldnt this be in the VENDOR SECTION ?

  11. #11

Re: Member Discounts or Attractive Prices

No, this section allows members who are NOT affiliated with the businesses in question but have received discounts, to promote and recommend these businesses to other member's seeking similar products. The vendor section is for member's who are vendors to offer their products directly to PP members.
