Yes several brands in various supermarkets were discovered to have horse in it. I think the issue it was labelled as pure beef. The French have no problem eating horse. And a billion Hindus think we are nuts for eating beef

Wouldn't worry me either it's only meat. I've eaten it. And tarantulas, snakes, termites, zebra, kudu, wildebeest, crocodile, whole variety of birds.

Never been there before and only did it as a favour to the young bloke who just happened to have chosen that day as the day to move into his new digs and needed the mattress. Lesson learnt though I won't be going back there in a hurry.

I think you are correct. His new queen size mattress was compressed and rolled into a log about 30cm in diameter.

Sounds like an interesting mixed grill. I'd be in that.

                  • Having to drive other people's cars, that have no gear in the back that you might need.
Case in point, drove a mates F Truck (that's apparently all set up for going out bush)
back from Gero to Perth, and hit a roo, damn big one.
Lucky/unlucky, I had slowed to about 50km, so no damage to the car, but I didnt kill the roo,
Ended up driving over it and breaking its back.

Hitting a roo doesn't bother me, but I always stop and check they are dead,if not, finish them off.
It's just plain cruel not to.
But there was not a thing in the back of this truck to do that with.
I looked around in the bush for a rock or a log but there was nothing.
Ended up going to the nearest cop shop and asking them to go shoot it.

Then as it was getting dark I turned on the spot lights, they were pointing down to the road,
Couldn't find a spanner or shifter to fix them

Ever since my first car at 17, i've always carried at least a simple set of tools, tow rope,
timber pole or axe, spare parts, just in case.

But maybe I just got brought up old school.
                    Geoff

Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

80k? Geez I know I've spent a fair amount of money on it, but it's not that much. Try looking at a crooked aerial for a day and a half straight. It's annoying.

                          • Bought an item from Masters that doesn't work as advertised. They charged me $99.99 so I took it back. Lady asks for my receipt so I give it to her. It was for a different item altogether, I never checked the receipt when it was given to me. They had overcharged me in the first place. She gives me a refund of $54.95 which is the price of the item I bought. Now I have to show my bank record to get the extra $45.04.
