  • low beam fuse?

My spotties and low beams are not working, thought it might be a fuse but i cant find the low beam fuse.in the fuse cover it says i should have 4 ,one for low each side and one for high each side but i only have the high beam pair.any ideas or clues to what is going on.Thanks in advance numb

Please place your location in your profile.....

The fuses are marked, you will find that some vehicles depending on the location they were released in will only have some of the fuses installed in the generic fuse box.

The fuses are under the bonnet in the box near the battery.

Gday mr piggy, the low beam fuses definately are not in the said position under the bonnet.the places are empty and there is no contacts in that position.the high beam fuses are as stated next to this spot.I think i have a blown bulb on the drivers side as i tested resistance and only found 1 open circuit in the bulb, and also tried wiring to a power source and can only get high beam to work.ill check the other bulb next, but i dont understand why my spotties have also gone down.P.S will add my location if i work it out but for now it is sydney.thanks again for any input you guys can offer.

        problem solved

It was two blown lo beam filaments.I actually tried them in my hilux first, wish id have thought of that first.Anyway I still dont know where my lo beam fuses have vanished to,Im also puzzled by two blown bulbs at once.Am I just unlucky or could there be some other underlying problem.I want to upgrade my bulbs for some fatboys but dont want to risk blowing them if there is a problem.any ideas?

Might be time to visit Mr Toyota if it is still under warranty or an auto electrician to get the light circuit checked out as it is defintiely not normal for both low beams to blow like that.
