Well its about time we saw a 90 series build up.
This is the prado as purchased back in August 2003
It came pre loved with the ARB winch bar, duel battery and snorkel
Only thing I added at this stage was the I-Com 400 pro UHF & the RFI ariel
3 weeks old, First Mud
Bought the camper trailer in January 2005
Upgraded the tyres on the prado to Cooper ST's and put the old Bridgestone duelers on steel rims onto the camper
Installed the Lightforce 170's some time in 2004
By September 2005 had fitted:
Extreme UHF ariel
Hand held GPS with external ariel on snorkal
Magnam winch
Tough Dog 2" suspension lift
& modified the camper trailer to carry 2 spares on the draw bar
Added a couple of pradopoint stickers
tieded up the dash area a bit:
installed new Pioneer Sterio with Blue tooth car kit
New dash, old one was cracked and fo woodgrain was all I could find
Uniden 27Mhz radio down bottom
Old nokia phone cradle to enable use of an external ariel
installed winch controls into the dash
switch on right with red light enables the winch controls & switch beside it works the winch in & out
bought drawer unit off EBay
As the prado is no longer a daily driver and with work comitmants it can some times sit in the garage for a while I installed an anderson plug for easy connection of the battery charger.
latest project is a presureised water tank
fitted a tubless tyre valve and a length of hose to the cap of a 20L jerry and now have running water.
currently fitting a roof rack to carry the solar panel & charge the 3rd battery
(photos to follow)
have now graduated to leading packs of 120's around
New photos 28/4/08
rhino bars roof rack installed
The new manually operated 3rd battery solenoid
the blue box is the automatic duel battery switch with both the 2nd & 3rd batterys hanging off it.
the small/cheap compressor mounted on the back of the cargo barrier to push the water out.
the airmax mounted and wired in between the fridge and the cargo barrrier with 10m of air hose.
6 outlets in the back, 3 off each aux battery, when the fridge runs the 2nd battery down I just plug it into the 3rd. Pluss push button for the water.
Battery monitour wired to the 2nd & 3rd batterys.
Added 13/7/08
Built a table for the rear door
Took out the back seat and built a shelf
Blue lightforce covers to stop some of the glare
fitted some Micky Thomson Baja MTZ's
