So I got onto Toyota again today to ask for my issue to be reviewed and they have straight out refused to take any responsibility or offer any form of fix as it is over 10 years old. Specified that others older have had theirs done and various other arguments but they completely refuse to do anything at all. This is piss poor in my opinion as they know they have produced a faulty product, they have not taken steps to inform the owners of the fact that there is a problem, and once it is well out in the open they refuse to take responsibility for it. Great car unfortunately let down by poor manufacturer back up.1997 petrol auto, 430 000km. Still going strong.

Toyota called back and said that yes my VIN is in the range, but as it is over 10 years old it isn't covered. I was polite and firm with the guy however he seemed to be expecting some backlash and kept reading from the script.
Looks like I will be escalating to Toyota HO. Car is Oct 2005 and has had the cracks for about 3 years.
