Can anyone who still has a cracked dash and would be interested in a reduced cost replacement from Toyota please reply.
I have been in discussions with Toyota about getting a bulk replacement deal of some sort.
Thanks,
Scott.

I've been on the same thread in 2012 and TMCA did offer to supply a free dash if I paid labour, I refused. But I've got back at Toyota, as I've just purchased a Range Rover after 24 years of new Toyotas, 4 Runner, 90 series Prado, 100 series land cruiser, 120 series prado etc. Was going to get a kakadu or sahara next, but feel that TMCA has as usual stuck their head in the sand just like the Dunlop (Banglop) grand trek tyre issues in the nineties. Spending a bit of time in Dubai early last year, noticed many LHD dashes on prado's were also cracked, so it is a global problem. Anyway, it is still my problem and I want to sell my 120, but need to fix the dash. IS there anyone in Perth that it is doing this at cost and minimal labour?? I have been a loyal Toyota Customer for since 1990, but alas, Toyota have been pig headed and I have made my choice to leave Toyota. Any help on the prado dash replacement in perth would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey Clarksnow, Why don't you offer the car for sale before you fix the dash? - Test the market. You may be surprised. Like you say - they are all doing it - so you are not at any disadvantage.
My experience is that it took me 3 days to sell my 10yo cracked dash 120 for 50% of what I paid in 2004.
I was worried about my dash before the sales process but realised that it was not a problem - not for my buyer anyway.

I've heard they (LRA) have a really good road-side assist programme.

I believe that Davros has done a dashboard replacement on a Prado. Takes a few hours and nowhere near to what Toyota is quoting as a full day's job. I think the dash should be under $1k.
Thanks for the reply's chaps. A couple of questions / observations in order of the replys.
1. I have tried selling the Prado on carsales.com, one owner, etc, etc, but dashboard is an issue, when it comes to completing deal. I'm at the lower quartile price end of equivalent year / mileage Prado's.
2. Toyota reliability is number one and when living in the Pilbara for many years I wouldn't have any other brand. But Toyota also take their consumers and customers for granted, and you shouldn't have to "fight city hall" to right a wrong. This dashboard issue is just another Toyota nail in the coffin for me, and I have been loyal for 24 years. Lets see how LRA roadside assist works.
3. Who is Davros and contact details?
Thanks
