  • Re: Spotted a PP in your travels

Whilst browsing through the map section at my local campstore, a tall stranger comes up to me and asks... "Is that your Prado parked outside?" I looked up (and up and up ), feeling a sense of dread... "Yeeerrrrssss.... Why?" (I'm thinking someone smashed or scratched it whilst parked and I was preparing to bear the bad news)..... The reply finally came....

"G'day Mate, I'm Callo from PP. I saw your PP sticker on the rear window and ..."

We yakked for about 30 minutes. It was great to meet you Callo!!!

What are the chances of crossing paths like that?

    Cheers,
    LFaR.

Spotted two+four and the family up at Nanga Mill camping grounds at Dwellingup.... well, not spotted pre arranged lmao, but here is the proof !!
We just went up for a meet and greet and a day trip for the girls. Middle one went on a trek with the kids and used her gut as a brake pad after falling
ass over on the trail lmao!, typical girl, no tears until she was in the car then balled hahha... tuffen up princess 8) washed her down, rubbed savalon in and shes apples.
Mr and Mrs Two+four had a great setup with friends, my lady even liked the possible 12 camper that might get ordered down the track here hahah.. WOOT!!
Beautiful camping spot. My first official meet up with a PP'er.

Not many of us PPers here in Adelaide. I probably saw Babs once and that was the same description. I'm assuming he lives around this way since it wasn't that far away (near the ETSA building) that i saw him or his wife.
        Boys,

It was me and I spotted Mick's silver beast from a mile away... no camera handy .....had the wife in tow which was good as she got to see a blinged up version of what I want to do to mine. ( lift kits, snorkel & better tyres ) . Eventually i will catch up with the PP'ers in adelaide when work allows it.

          Hi Golly

Thanks for popping down to see us, it was my first meeting face to face with a fellow PPer, and very nice it was too. You have a lovely family. (I hope you can get the dwellingup dust out of the little ones outfit) You'll know where to find us now when we say we're off camping.
We didn't want to come home  but work beckons us as well as the need for a new windscreen ops: I'm glad our friends that also day tripped down remembered the gas bottle otherwise there would have been a few hungry people around (another tip for campers - make sure your adapters fit the gas bottles)
We learnt a bit from hiring the camper for the weekend. They're incredibly easy to set up and pack up. We'll share our notes with you and anyone else who's interested in camper trailers, keeping in mind our need may not be the same as yours.

Look forward to seeing you again.

          Pam

You could do a trip report, with some updates on the camper.

                Hey Matt

trust you got home safely, I am still getting the bone jarring stiffness out of my joints after driving the Patrol up there and I have had a stinking headache all day and have no doubt that it was because of the harsher ride. Anyway I suppose we are lucky that we have two 4WD's in the driveway and as Jackie said to the Toyota salesman, come and have a look at a real 4WD while we were discussing the Prado's clutch problems. and she was right, for a ten year old truck it doesn't let us down but talk about lack of comfort on rough roads

We'll work on a trip report, it may take a couple of days, so stay tuned to the trip report thread.

Spotted last Thursday night at Kedron for the Bris 4WD Club meeting was D4D-GXL, nice rig.
I didn't get to meet him amongst other members on the night, but I was stoked that another PP member is in the same club. Infact I think theres a few.
Spose we'll get talk in the future. It was the first sticker I've seen in Brisbane in 9 months.
