that I can scare the hell out of the brother-in-law with his over lift pootrol as he's scrabling over rocks when I'm in my stocky Prado on the radio asking him to stop mucking about and get moving cause he's in my way

You wonder what all the talk is about sagging 90 series rear doors saying to yourself, mines not going to do that, its fine!

Well of course it is now not fine

The hinges come in black so need to be colour matched, the mechanic says get a panel beater to do it too!

Apparently the V6 Prado is a bit expensive to drive around the city.

So, I said he had to help me clean the old girl if he wanted something out of it. Well, I ended up doing 90% of the job myself. There was 11 years worth of red dust in all sorts of hidden places. I got sick of saying "attention to detail" - it just goes in one ear and out the other.

I'll be sad to seee her go, she has been a trusty steed with no issues in nearly 200,000km.
Tell ya boy to keep the prado i found a ute is the worst tradie tool invented when i was on the concreting gang when ya want to use it for anything else you have to take all the tool boxes out you can never get it close enought to the job best thing i did was get a proper trailer made up with all the shelves etc you can push it right up to the job if you have to and just bring it home and unhitch it at night or if on a secured site leave it at the job
Dont list all ya mods, you will only be more upset when i get further

I learned about how a battery sends electrons through the conductors, and when you hook it up to a graffite pencil that rests in a CuCl2 water solution, you can make Cu accumulate on one pencil and make Cl2 gas.

Its been a while since I learnt something ...... so here it is....
I've had the same digital camera since 2005 (Panasonic FZ30) & only this month did I realise the benefit of a polariser when taking photos....In addition, after putting a thumb print on it, this week i found the best tool for cleaning camera lenses!

Firstly the polarisers, this web page explains how they work & how you can use them to improve your photos.

                        http://www.bobatkins.com/photography...olarizers.html

I got my HOYA filter from ebay @ half the price of the camera stores in Aus.

Secondly, to fix the thumb print....
Well I got one of these....

                        http://dicksmith.com.au/product/XG81...s-cleaning-pen

& it works 100%. The thumb print is gone & I cleaned my UV filter & the front lens on the camera itself & they are all crystal clear again. These can also be found on ebay for under $2...

                        Cheers

Never ever leave your Foxwing awning untethered for a second. While I was taking off the poles on a calm day a huge gust of wind came out of nowhere and flicked the awning up and over the car roof breaking all the ribs and scratching the roof paint. Note to self, 'follow instructions to the letter.'

Also note to self, 'listen to son more often.' I parked the car (not the Prado) at railway station for a day in city. While walking away from car son says, "Dad, you should leave glovebox and centre console open so thieves can see there's nothing worthwhile to break into the car for." Couldn't be bothered to walk back a dozen metres to the car and jumped on train. Got back later in the day and guess what, found the side window smashed and the glove box and console lying open. Nothing was taken, not even the twenty dollars or so in loose change.
                          [SIZE=1]Cheers Jim.

It was yesterday to be exact, the pool pump was draining every time it filled up, so not be out done I set about bleeding it , starving it with a tennis ball, took it all to bits and after one mega rant decided to bite the bullet, admit defeat and get a pro in, he didn't even get to the pump went straight to the skimmer box and said "theres your problem" , course then I fell in all too late the flap on the skimmer had stuck shut, opened it up and away she went, felt so bad I gave him $20 more to hide my embarrassment than anything, yes lesson learned check the most obvious FIRST.............

That an apparent website featuring a WA company that had the bit I wanted in stock and ready for immediate delivery. So I ordered it online. When other stuff I ordered from Brisbane and Sydney arrived in a couple of days I thought why hasn't the stuff from the company in Bayswater WA got here. Well, after some phone calls and emails, seems my part is coming from Melbourne which must be further from Kalgoorlie than I remember. Note to self:"ring the bastards in future to confirm before ordering if you need stuff in a hurry."

When parking on a slope and walking into a shop listen to the person behind the counter that it could be you he is trying to get attention from before your car smashes through the shops front window
