My favorite accessory (if we can call that accessory) would be the suspension... The reason is that you get to use it every time you drive your car and it makes the driving a pleasure - very comfortable and relaxing .

I think the question should be "what is your favorite accessory in every category", so we'll have a list of accessories in each category to pick

The wife... helps set up camp, helps clean the car, helps cook dinner and helps keep the bed warm. No point having a 4wd and getting outdoors and seeing this top country of ours unless you have someone to share the wonderful experiences with.

Re: whats ya fav accessory and why?

Next to the Engel fridge, and the wife - she calls herself the "camp bitch".

I love my 12v shower. They cost $19.95 and generally last for about 12 months. When you spend all day wandering around the bush in +35 degree heat and dust and flies there isn't anything better than a nice shower (preceeded by a cold beer of course) to restore the body. No need for a heater as the sun will warm the water in the jerry cans anyway.

And, if the missus wants to have a tub, she can heat a bucket on the camp fire whilst she's cooking my steak.

We can't wait to get the roof basket so we can mount a rear awning as well, then we'll never be home at weekends

Well the wife was the top of my list too..without her I wouldn't have any of the stuff I have now.

At the moment I'm impressed with my new Mickey Thompson 4 rib ATZs as they do a really good job of splashing Melbourne CBD people on footpaths when the drains are blocked & it's bucketted down    Had a ball on Saturday

But my all time favourite would be my snatch - it's got me out of dozens of problems, even being used with another snatch, extension strap & winch up a 80m+ hill (many years ago). It takes a long time to get rid of the elasticity but it works eventually!

But for the Prado I need bullbar winch compressor & lift before I can really decide.
                                Cheers - Phil Taylor
