My 98 Grande has a solid rear seat and my colleagues Dad's 99 GXL has split rear seats.

          Thanks Snaga!

I was also wondering if the "easy to remove" rear seats also happened at the same time as the split middle seats? Is that the case with the two cars mentioned?

redbook.com.au will have all the dates and specifications for every model you want. Simply select a year and a model then select vehicle specifications. I've found them to be 99% correct with the odd error here and there.

The first reference of this seems to be 1999 Aug....do you have further evidence?

Was the selling point that got us to buy the car 10/98 RV 2.7L came standard with 8 seats.
Did not see the Getaway untill delivery of the RV or would of had one of those.

Redbook used to have all this info but seems to have consolidated a lot of the models.

Also remember a story in overalander.

Yep, my 98 has the "easy to remove" rear seats but not the 60/40 2nd row.
