Colour coding snorkel

Has anyone painted a snorkel with success?
Was thinking of getting mine colour-coded in white. Don't know how well the paint would stick but painting of plastics has come a long way.

Might look good??

It looks great in my opinion. I would definately be doing it if I got a snorkel. I've seen a silver Pajero (cough) around here with a colour coded snorkel, and it looks fantastic. There shouldn't be any issue with the paint on it, it's really not that different to plastic bumbers etc. The main thing is that they get a good plastic primer on it first.
Down to personal opinion I guess. I just get bored looking at all the boring black ones around..

Just my opinion but ...........

Saw a new white 100 series Sahara just this week with a white snorkel and it looked terrible. It might look good good with some other base colours, but the white made it look really cheap.

As I said ..... just my opinion.

4wd Systems do them in coloured plastic, even fluro colours :shock:


Comes down to taste... I'll stick with black.

I think it will be a bit tacky. Also very hard to keep clean.

if you want to paint the snorkel the colour you will have to use a plastic primer to get the paint to stick properly. your local auto shop should be able to help you out.

Thanks samo, I think i have gone off the idea- black is the go. black always makes things look slimmer.... :shock:
