The older Prados only had tie down points but the newer units have much stronger points that look strong enough. Outback ideas also make some great recovery points that are easy to fit.
Check out Team Piggy's pics, towards the bottom of page 3 for a comparison of the 2 types of recovery points.
The models after about Jan 2006 had a beefier "possibly rated" tie down which appars to be suitable for snatching.
There is much chest whacking etc that goes on about the actual rating of these points on this forum though, up to you to make your decision.
I have had 5 engineers all look over them and take some measurements etc, and all came to the ame conclusion that they are certainly designed to take a fairly strong load. (eg more than tie downs).
If using them (as I have personally, use an equaliser strap to spread the load between the two of them).
