Hi Hoody, the bolt for the tie down loops in the cargo area of the Prado is only 8mm shank.

The seat anchors on the floor are 10mm shank but have the metric fine thread (M10x1.25) not the normal size M10 thread which is a little courser (M10x1.5).

Thank you. My local hardware bloke was on to it.
A note for others, if using 15mm ply base, you will need at least 50mm bolts

I have just returned from a 12 week tip to the Kimberley. During the trip I had to replace my drawer runners that were acting as my fridge slide with a genuine Engel fridge slide. The base plate for my drawers and fridge slide is 15mm Ply but it has bent/bowed in the middle, has anyone else had this problem. Mine drawers are fastened using 4 bolts and large washers, bolted into where the seat u-bolts would normally be. I would have thought that by bolting it down it would push the ply down not pull it up.

I sourced auto carpet for my drawers from Clark Rubber, $50/meter, 2 meters wide. Probably get it cheaper if you look around but I was in a hurry.

I used marine carpet from Bunnings for mine. Can't recall the price, but cheaper than $50

I purchased mine through Whitworths (paid about $50 a metre) but better quality.
Biggest challenge was buying enough glue to stick it down, the carpet sucks up the glue like its water.

Hi guys,
All very nice work in all cases. Have built mine but no pic yet and secured via the same bolt idea. Now onto the fold down table on the door.

I have all the brackets etc( thx to all for putting this info up). Just wanted to check in with respect to attaching the hinges etc. how long a screw is need to go from the hindes to the metal behind coverings?

I promised my niece that I would make her a rear door table after she watched me use ours at a recent family gathering.

She freed up an afternoon so it could be mounted to her vehicle.

Only I posted in the wrong thread, however the first picture does show a rear draw.
You shouldn't have to much trouble whittling up a rear door table mate.
