this guy was suprised they fit.
I've talked to other fellas that have Prados and they reckon there's nothing wrong with their std jets. If only they took advice from others on how much better jets can be.

i think i may have found the best mod to go along with this one.

don't know if anyone else has the same problem but my wiper blades shudder up and down the screen driving me freakin mental!

so i went down to supercheap last weekend and found some Bosch wiper arms (complete replacement)

one of those new type flimsy things but i swear it sliced bread has nothin on these babies

and sit flat when they're down.

i've seen them on quite a few new euro cars, i think it's where most of them are heading now.

from memory they were $22 or $24 each.

the box said they were for 90 series but fit perfectly on 120 also.

... but how many of us get to park the Prado behind the wife's ASTRA ???? ...... I know I do.

                    • I have not used my wipers since leaving the east coast in Feb 08.

I still swear by Rain-X, that stuff is absolutely legendary stuff. You don't need wipers with Rain-X on your windshield

                      • Got mine today whilst the car was in for service. I just told them to add it to the bill. I should have said, how much are they first ($56- plus GST). The dealer had never heard of it before (or Pradopoint for that matter). Whilst I'm on the subject of service, I know they need to take the car for a test drive but they did over 10kms in mine (had it overnight waiting for parts). I know it's only a couple of bucks in fuel but it just seemed like a lot of ks for a test drive.
By the way it's raining & I love the jets. They were too expensive but after usung them, I don't really care.

                            • The info got replaced a bit further into the post.

                              Here it is.

                              1) Pop out the two bottom bonnet clips of the inner sound lining on the bonnet. I broke mine, but some others on the forum tell me it 'easy' to get them out, without breaking them.. Chippy mailed me two new ones, so mine are now fixed.

                              2) Pull the hoses off the bottom of the jets. Now, using long nose pliers (these help heaps) push in the tabs on each side of the original jets sat the base, probably only able to push in the one closest to you, the ones near the windscreen are hard to get too. I broke these tabs also, and then gently push up and pop the jets out the top of the bonnet. Use a finger or two, too guide the jets out and don't damage the underside of the bonnet.

                              3) Simple bit - insert each new jet from the top of the bonnet, down into the holes and they will 'click' into place. Attach the hoses and refit the lining and clips.

                              4) Sit back and enjoy... Parts approx $50, including jets and few bonnet clips.....

                              • but read the whole string because I took a tip from someone much later in the thread & just removed them from the top. Took about 3 minutes & no broken clips to replace.
