Ok, problem solved. I'll do step-by-step instructions, here we go:

1. Discover problem. If you searched for this solution, it's probably about windows not moving. My problem was that any other window except driver's didn't work. Not from door itself or driver's door. It's not about fuses or any other reasonable issue.
2. Bang your head on the wall for few moments. Or days. Maybe drop a tear or two.
3. One sunny morning, accidentally press that "lock windows" button on drivers door to unlock door switches.
4. Engine running, roll window half way down, then up and hold for few seconds. Try if auto up/down works. If not, roll down and up again. Then same thing for next window. After every door done, driver's switches will work again!
5. Smile and try to convince yourself you're not so stupid after all. Yea right.

Wow this site is amazing. I disconnected my battery to install a dual battery tray today. Went to pickup the kids from school and the 3other windows didn't work at all. About to hit panic stations and going over in my head with what went wrong, or did I leave something off.

Got home and figured I'd give PP a go and bam problem solved. Turn the ignition on, go all the way down then up and hold for a few seconds. Done on all doors and got them working again including the auto function.

I recently discovered that the sunroof also requires resetting in pretty much the same way. Open it fully, then close it fully. Then it will auto open as per normal.

I have got a different problem with the sunroof - when you close it, it doesn't go up to normal level (flat with the roof) it sits about 4mm below... and if you push it by hand down (not even hard) you will see about 1mm gap between roof and sunroof!!!

So after I closed it (from fully open position) i have to press switch "tilt" (or UP, don't remember that sign) but just touch it for half a second to tilt sunroof a little bit.

120 Series: Master Window Controller (Driver's side) fault

Recently purchased a 2ndH 2007 120 Diesel. Very happy, except that the driver's side master window control panel doesn't work. The driver's window operates but none of the other windows. However, the windows do operate from their respective door window controllers.

I've taken the panel out and given it a visual, nothing obvious. The maintenance manual (Gregory's) doesn't say much except how to pull it out.

At night time there are four small green lights (one for each window). However, the driver's side window switch light slowly flashes. Does this indicate a fault? The 'lock' button operates and turns the lights off for the non-driver windows...but the driver's window switch light continues to blink steadily.

I'm reluctant to simply go to a wrecker's and swap over for a 2ndH unit when I might be able to salvage the existing one.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

This is a known issue (especially after disconnecting the battery) you will need to go to each window and wind all the way down and then all the way up, this will fix the issue and the Master control will work again.

What he said. Also when you wind each window up hold the button up for a second after it reaches the top.

As you both serious?? Didn't read that in the manual!!! How the hell did anyone find out how to fix that problem??? OK...outside to give it a go. Hope I'm not being scammed and someone has a camera ready to see this old grey haired fool playing with his windows!!

Well I'll be a Playdoh Grampa any day....

Decided to do the other 3 windows, leaving the driver's side to last. Up/down as instructed...noticed that the driver's side window switch light continued to blink throughout...until the last. Driver's window up/down, light stops....then to try one of the other windows from the master control...presto! Why the hell would Mr Toyoda decide that this was a required procedure to reset the processor on the master windows panel??? Some dodo IT bod, beavering away decides we'll get the owner to do a window circuit every time the battery is disconnected...good one! So, I'm now armed for when the winch goes in tomorrow....then the LED bar and radio...then elec brake controller.... so 3 circuits coming up! Yippee...

My 2008 one flashes one window at a time. I followed the flashes doing that window then the next one flashing flash and it was fixed. Perhaps I'm obsessive.

Faulty Drivers Window Control

2007 GXL Drivers Window Control which allows the driver to lower and raise all
The Drivers Window Control is faulty. It allows the drivers window only to raise and lower. All the other Windows are not operating from
the Control.
All the window motors are working as they operate from each door switch.
What should I try to do to rectify please ?

Try resetting the auto up down. Using the individual door controller, drop each window 50mm, raise and hold the button in the up position for 5 seconds or so. This will reset the auto function and the main panel should come back to life.

Usually happens after doing a battery change or loss of power to the window switches.
