Completely agree with what you've just said, however my issue is if you end up doing supply&install with them on the said tank, they retail the tank to the customer at $406. The price they pay to long ranger is more like $250 or $300 so when someone does the supply and install they end up paying $250 or $300 to ARB for something that would take them 1/2 hour to do.

We're all here to make money and make a decent living etc etc and I understand the amount of overheads a company like ARB would have but at the end of the day I need to balance my own personal books and I choose what makes sense to me

    think about it this way.

Us aussies are our own worst enemy.

We all want a top paying job to live, play etc.

We dont want to pay that hourly rate/call out fee because its a "rip off"

what your forgetting is that in that hourly rate, electricity, wages, sick day, long service leave, annual leave, bonuses, apprentice schooling, bugger ups, insurance, cars/trucks/buses, uniforms, that "free coffee" etc is built into that.

Im sure that they will reduce that hourly rate for you if you help pay for the next telephone bill, rent, stationary, consumables, maintainence.

So the next time you buy things of ebay because its $20 cheaper than the the shop. Remember the above, your doing "us" out of money but wanting a nice pay packet.

This is my opinion, Im not a shop owner

I guess another way of looking at it.

You and I and lots of other people are a bit more mechanically minded compared to a lot of other people.

We look at it as 4 bolts and you done.

Others look at it as it's best for someone else to do it.

Yes, those others have liability included and not just manufacture defect warranty

If everyone can do the install them selves, the installers wouldn't be needed. Make it another online 4wd SupaCentre store

Or get one of these and hang it off the cargo barrier or under your seat at 1/4 the cost

[QUOTE=pjorek;544845]Thanks Troy, if you could take few pics around your tailpipe that would be good (even though it's a V6). I'll pop into ARB on Saturday and mention something. Worst case is take it off, angle grind it a touch and put it back on.-

          Cheers
