  • And probably charge you $200 to do it to, surely they would include the filter in that price ?? But then maybe not... Cheers Steve

        • Just been following this thread...replaced what was probably the second OEM filter for a Repco one today.

Just where is the condenser in the 120? Still IMHO not blowing cold enough (even with re-circulation on) - and the pictures of showing how to get it colder are no longer accessible.

Thinking that a re-charge of the A/C system might be the go. This is on an '06 GX, with the manual gauges.

                  • You have to buy the filter and put it in yourself. The spot is there for it behind the glovebox......Cheers Steve

                    • Just done mine last weekend. Put in a Ryco one from Repco although Repco do there own brand (sold out). Old one was black as, really filthy. Got an RACQ discount so @$32.00. From memory Tojo @40.00? Have to undo the retainer strap from GB then push in the plastic toggles to release the GBox. You will then see the air cabin filter which can be pulled out. Retainer strap is a bit fiddly but practice = speed. Apparently should be replaced or at least cleaned annually if not more! Dread to think mine was the original? Thx.

                      • Just fitted a cabin filter to our new prado after we picked it up a few weeks ago. The blower fan was making a noise that changed when the fan speed increases/decreases and it sounded like a leaf was stuck in there. Driving me crazy! Well, when I pulled the filter tray out I was astounded. There was leaves, twigs & small palm fronds jammed all over on top of the blower fan! 9 years-worth of crud I guess! It was crazy, wish I took a pic. Toyota should have fitted a filter to all these 120's from the factory.
