        hi,
With mine i get mid 15's to 16 litres per 100 in the city.
On the freeway i get low 13's mid 14's since i fitted the bullbar and suspension lift.
In 07 when i went to fraser i averaged 9litres per 100 fully loaded at 100 km per hour.the car was stock standard.
On the way back i did fron noosa to raymond terrace befor it swtched over to the sub tank..
Now it is on liquid injection gas and i have best of both worlds...very happy.....

            hi,
with gas i am getting 19-20 littres /100 in the city.
My wife drives the car during the week and because
school and work are very close to home rhere is a lot
stop start, so that's not too bad. On the freeway it drops
down to 15/100.In the beginning with gas the economy
was very bad (26/100). Now it is fixed they replaced
the fuel pump inside the tank.It had too much presuure..

                Hi Nick
thats very interesting re the pump..did not know there was a pump in the tank..can you explain that in more detail and what was involved in changing it?
MY consumption is woeful, freeway driving is just as bad as city driving
                cheers Stevo

                  Hi Stevo,
I have the new liquid injection system. The gas is
injected into the engine as liquid, that is why it
has a pump in the tank similar to petrol...
My prado was the first one in nsw...I had some niggling
problems but now all is good...

I reguarly used to get in the 10's in my petrol, once modified though it averages about 14-15. Bar & wheels add up to bad economy.

Even towing the race car & trailer < 2 tonne it would pull 14's to 15's easily.

Figures in the 10's are not a myth on these vehicles when they are unmodified.

                      Hi,
That is why i went for the petrol and not the diesel at the time.
I still think if you do lots of touring the petrol is a better
proposition. And yes since the lift and bullbar i have lost about
                      2 litres/100, it is still good....for a big v6...

                        Hi Nick
I also have a LIS but the tank as I have been informed is only a reservoir and does not have a pump inside..so I am confused with your system

                          hi stevo,

My system was designed by LPG Warehouse and they are the only
company that have the liquid lpg system or JTG as it is called. You
must have the vapour injection system. One way ti find out is, check
to see if your system is plumbed into your cooling system. Wi the the liquid
injection system the gas goes from the tank straight to the injectors, the fuel pump.
                          check the LPGwarehouse web site.
If you loo at teh post under liquid injection i have photos of my system
sorry i do not know how to make links to other posts.

My fuel consumption is very ordinary... When I bought the Prado 12 months ago I was getting 1200kms out of a tank around town.... now after many mods im getting 1000km.... Might look at doing the extractors/Uni Chip mod to give some more hp and hopefully better fuel consuption... also looking at some shorter gears in the diffs

With lift, roof racks, steel bar, winch, drawers, roof rack and muddies plus more, the best I ever get is 18l/100km with the average just over 19l/100km.

We just got back from a 20,000km trip with extra spare on the roof plus a couple of space cases and towing a camper trailer weighing about 1300kg that was also wearing a set of muddies.

Fuel economy for the trip was 23l/100km. Fuel cost was the biggest part of the holiday. Total cost $6,750.

                                Cheers - Byrnsie
